My name is Jess Calcaben, and Im an alcoholic. I'm 28 years old and I live in Houston, TX. Im a nurse...or a murse if yer a wise ass.

Everyone needs a creative outlet.
birds do it,
bees do it,
cavemen do it,
even schizophrenic bipolar with multiple personality disorders people do it. so thats why I do comics, cause if i dont I might lose it and go on a rampage across Houston.

I've been with drunk duck ever since it started and we only had 30 comics to compete against. those were the days (nostalgic). Since I'm such an old DD member, they made me into a mod. I got grandfathered in! Also I care a lot about the community, and will protect it from douche bags.

...and im not really an alcoholic. ^_^

Warren Ellis has nothing on me. He stole my ideas. The Warren Ellis we know is not from this spatial membrane, but an alternative one. Those idea he has were stolen from a future timeline. Garth Ennis should be bowing down to me and counting his pennies.

There's never been a giant turtle whom I would desire to trifle with. Gammera? No way. The first boss in Contra III? Leave me out of it. The Ninja Turtles? I wouldn't screw with them and they're merely people sized.

Oh! I've heard of Kablam.com...most of my american comic friends at a site called...www.comicscareer.com highly recommend them. I was heading towards lulu.com for self publishing, they can even get you listed on amazon.com to sell your books. It's an exciting thought isn't it...to actually make some money off what you love doing best. Have you ever thought of trying to submit your story to a small press publisher? I'm sure they would love your stuff.
