Throwing your hands up in the air is active, you're moving purposefully. It therefore should not indicate that you 'just don't care.' The motion of apathy should should a lack of motion, as any energy expenditure tells the world that you actually do care enough to show it by flailing your arms. One should instead let their arms hang freely at their side like they just do not care.
