So old, I started buying Spiderman from about issue#3., refeshing after the sterile world of DC, the previous couple of years. This was during my high school years in Cardiff, South Wales. I moved to Oz in 1980.
Always thought the 50s was weird, with its McCarthyism & the "war on comics" . The thing about Batman & Robin being a "homosexual's dream situation" has stayed with me since I first heard it on a doco, some years back....and eventually inspired the Birdman comic I've just kicked off.

I was a life-long surfer, which was a struggle in Wales, hence the move to Oz. Kidney failure in '03 knocked that on the head. While on dialysis (I've since had a transplant), I thought how great it would be to be a vampire - a "logical step". This led to the idea of "Liquid Lunch", which overtook Birdie, once I got going. Then came Little Black Dress.
