@page: Back to Fenny in emo mode! Now Patrick can finally learn why Fenny was emo at the end of the prologue XD Personally I think she should pay more attention when walking around destroyed areas of cities. I mean she could have walked into a big fire or something!!!
Going to finally update the Devon Legacy with Rick this week. Going to try and get 3 pages finished this week. Let's see how that works out for me XD
I like the shading in the first panel. I wouldn't listen too much to people telling you whats "right" and whats wrong. art can be anything you want it to be....It's YOUR world. Do whatever YOU want it to do. Kirby's squiggles look wrong....But they work. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
mlai: I know the shading is wrong. I had this kind of shading in my mind for some reason. Completely half shadow and half not.
It seemed to fit her conflicting mentality. The lines though... they are wrong not by intent DX
Not 100% sure =p It could easily evolve back. I just liked the smaller pupils for Fenny after I accidentally drew them in a sketch trying to retool her design.
She's not used to panel boarders stopping her. She could freely walk outside of them in the prologue XD
And I'm sure Ozone is mostly responsible for the Aussie gene invasion. The Asian laddies cannot resist his hats!
Panel 1's facial shading is wrong! I gave you the Character Creator for a reason! It has a single light source!
I'm not too crazy about her rectangular eye sockets and tiny pupils. Are you sure you want to keep drawing that Akira Toriyama style?
Panel 4 is nice. I like how it directs the reader's eyes.
Ha, Fenny's gotta be more careful of walking into those panel borders!
I am currently in the Land of Tall Asians. 5'7" is like the average height for girls around here, without heels. Maybe it's due to all the Aussies stealth-contaminating the gene pool!
I didn't mean he was a giant, but he is tall, over 6 foot. I rarely run into men that tall. I can look most adults in the eye or at least the chin. ;) And, yeah, I consider 5'7" tall for a woman. That's how tall I am and I feel like a side-show giant compared to most of the women I know. :-P (But I think I might befriend shorter than average people.)
People rarely notice height differences until they are up-close and personal anyway -- like Bumpy here.
usedbooks: Fenny's 5 foot 7 if you consider that tall. So far she's been hanging around Sally, Sona, and Cyros which are all quite a bit shorter than Fenny =p
Not to mention I wasn't as good at keeping their heights correct. I'm trying better this time!
I'm sure this person wants to know where to by a shiny blanket like she has!
She could have prevented that feeling if she had stopped the Preds and didn't think Sally died :P

To defend her a bit she still hasn't really had time to reunite with the Deans. She dropped Sally off and had to hide the space craft on top of an abandoned skyscraper.
Right now she's walking back across NYC to get back home.
We'll see if she stops by the Dean's residence. She should since they live in the same apartment complex XD

DAJB: Pretty much. This is happening at the same time as Rick and Emella's story. This story will follow Rick and Emella's in Devon Legacy Prime.
Like issue 1 of the Prologue the new issue 1 is a double issue. Last time we had 1 issue of just aliens fighting on Saturn then Fenny and Sally's issue.
This time we have Rick/Emella then Fenny/Sally. They never get shotgun ;_;
Meechi: Yeah I should have either did Ed's suggestion or my other idea which was to make them uniform instead of so random. Ah well.
edbang: You're right. I'll keep working at it. I have not been liking my inking as much lately so the darkness in this issue gave a good reason to try bolder inking with larger pools of black shadows and hatching.
My perspective got better once my art class made me 100% understand it. Now I know how to use the perspective tools in Manga Studio. Technically they are doing the work for me XD

I kinda agree with Meechi on this. The lines on the face in panel 1, don't look like they work as well as the other panels. Although, I do like the expression she has there. Maybe lines following the form of the face might be better? Panel4 is awesome. Again, I agree with Meechi. You're sense of perspective has improved.
I see you're working with your pen strokes, though I'm not sure how well it works in Fenny's face, unless there was a deep black shadow. American comic influence perhaps? Other than that, looks good, your perspective has improved.

Your art is very unique, I love the first panel. You can draw expressions well and also the tears look good.
