Spider Nest - Page 12

And it's complete for now. ^^ To tell the truth, I had no idea how to draw Eliya's hair. I'd only drawn a concept picture of her all hooded up, and there are only so many ways to draw dark skin and white hair. But given that I was pretty much spent at this point, I'm pretty proud of how her hair turned out. All wavy and soft... :)

Omigod nudity! It's just a statue, don't worry. I hope it's obvious that she's worshipping Eilistraee. ^^

Spider Nest - Page 11

So, Lloth lives in a tower in the Underdark? Or is it some kind of metaphorical place that just happen to look like Underdark? Or maybe she just borrowed a tower while spying on Eliya...who knows. ;)

Poor spider...Lloth is known for her cruelty, but that's just animal abuse. Don't ask me what she's throwing - the important thing was that it was breakable stuff.

Spider Nest - Page 10

*gasp* And her face is revealed. Would've seemed too easy to let her be cowled and hidden in every panel anyway. It was a rough fight, so of course the cowl would fall down.
That first split-screen panel didn't turn out so nice. This is where the artist smiles weirdly and says "at least you can see what's going on". So I'll do just that.

Heh, at least you can see what's going on.

Spider Nest - Page 9

I like the chaotic fight. I was going to frame everything, both Eilistraee thinking and Eliya fighting, and assemble it in some mixed-up way on the paper. Decided it would seem more chaotic to have Eliya and the spider fighting all over the page instead.

Ooh...that gotta hurt.

I can't draw her from the side to save my life. But at least I'm making an effort. ^^
Also, she's drawing her blades. Yes, from her invisible hilts somewhere hidden on her being. Suspend your disbelief. ;)
