Warspritecomic

This is Warspritecomic's submission. Man, how would that even work?

Y'know what? I don't think I want to know.

Kxela

This is Kxela's submission. It's not exactly within the constraints I'd set up, but Kxela isn't showing their faces, just the front of their heads. What would the front of the head be called if it didn't have "facial features?"

Fated Feather

This is Fated Feather's submission. It's a standard "inner monologue" strip that uses atmospherics to give the reader a sense of the sadness the walker is feeling.

Though "sadness" seems too weak or too off a word. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Corvin

Welcome to No-Face Day 2006!

The idea is simple:

1) you CANNOT draw the faces of your characters at all.

2) you CAN draw the back of the head or a profile, as in a silhouette, but no details.

The idea is to communicate emotion through the use of dialogue, body language, and focus shots, such as a hand lingering on a certain object of emotional importance or your characters interacting physically with their environment rather than strictly with each other.

I got the idea after reading some of Marvel's "'Nuff Said" comics from a few years ago. 'Nuff Said was an event where Marvel encouraged their writers to craft a script using no dialogue whatsoever.

I figured an alternate challenge would be interesting, and I decided to drag the rest of you into it. Here's my submission; four others decided to jump into this with me.

Click next to see their work, represented in no particular order.
