The Lament of Lycidas Page 3

Mooo, Im sleepy..

I drew this months ago, but just now got around to coloring it.
I decided I liked it better without the lighting effects so I didnt do that on this page. If you have some objection to that then I suppose I can go and add that.

Lycidas is going crazy.. Dont try to make sense of what he says because he's not quite right in the head as we shall soon see.

The Lament of Lycidas Page 2

Just another one panel page. I was working on one with three panels but Im gonna start it over since it looks really bad. This was just a doodle I did so I decided to use it as a page. This thought will be continued on the next page.

Also, Im really excited about this story because some very old characters of mine that predate any from my other comics will be featured. This is a very complex story with demons and gods and all kinds of fun creatures all based in one elaborate universe.

A little fun fact here: Oni No Noroi takes place in this same universe. In fact, one of the characters in this story appears in Oni No Noroi 2. (yes the sequel ONN)

So ummm, Im gonna go now !!

*Insert witty comment here*

No, ummm.. So Im still gonna work on the website when I get time, but for now you just have to put up with this layout.

This story is loosely based on John Milton's Paradise Lost, but of course is more than just another unique retelling in that it takes a form of its own.
Lycidas was another work by Milton, but has nothing to do with the character here ;-p
(unless you want to interpret certain things as related to the themes in that poem).

Many of the characters have old obscure literary names or jumbled familiar biblical names.
There's one character called Ghamuret whose name comes from the Parzival by ummm, Wolfram von Eschenbach I believe. (not 100% sure on that).. Then there's Baezel and Aezrellah..

So, umm, YES, this is a story about Satan.
(I suppose)..

ack, 5am.. I need sleep.

Lament of Lycidas Introduction

Man, I am so sick of working on this website that I give up for now.

Anyhoo, Welcome to The Lament of Lycidas! This is a dark tale of an influential arch angel named Lycidas (loo-sid-us) who suffers a maelstrom of emotions from complete despair, madness, to remorse following his failure as a leader and warrior.

There is no update schedule and the format is one to four panels with drawn characters and experimental computer-drawn backgrounds. It will include nudity, violence, and some light shounen ai.
