Ballistas may have the stopping power to actually hurt dragons (especially if you hit their wings while they're airborne). The problem with they is they're unweildy. These ones were aimed outwards, to protect from dragons flying. Turning them around to attack a dragon in the courtyard takes some time.

replies:

re HellsoulWolf: ^_^

re Roken: thanks ^_^

re Skyler: yup, their wings are like arms with extended fingers, that part of the wing has two bones like our forearms. One of her's is broken, so its jutting out a bit.

re Kikaru: thanks ^_^

re Cthonic Cultist: rwaaa!

Fwoom!

I'm pretty sure that Brittany shouldn't be able to lift her wings like that with them all broken up, but hey, I'll say that she's running on adrenaline because that pannel just wouldn't look as good with the wings drooping.

replies:

re khard12: gasp! oh no!

re Mikato: ah well, if anyone sees him climbing up a wall his cover is blown anyways, to he might as well make his tail comfortable.

re HellsoulWolf: nope, but why waste it when it could be used to augment a disguise.

re Cthonic Cultist: too busy breathing fire to shout out attack names, but if they could they would ^_^

re Kikaru: at least not at first, and every minute can matter.

sorry about the late update guys, I'll try to get my act together for the next one.

On a positive note, violence! poor random drunk guard.

If you're wondering why Drake pored the beer on him, it's because if someone finds him unresponsive and reeking of beer with no obvious injuries they're likely to write him off as passed out and not investigate further. Drake's job requires keeping a low profile while hunting down the leaders, so the extra time this could buy him is valuable. This is also why he's going up the was instead of through the halls. I don't know if you guys have ever been in a castle hallway, but they're freakishly tight and if he gets caught in there he'll have to fight his way through. The outside wall is far easier. Drake isn't all dumb, he just has a slightly limited scope to his intelligence, and most of it is focused around killing things.

You remember Drake's shape shifting weapon, right?

re khard12: Drake agrees.

re HellsoulWolf: no prob ^_^

re Mina_Lunga: arm pits are kinda comforting, especially since I'm pretty sure dragons don't sweat (they're kinda reptilian, yeah?) so they wouldn't be nearly as stinky. Now Drake is back in a territory that he's comfortable with: killing people.

re Stig Hemmer: yup, this day is quite possibly the worst possible for them.

re Kikaru: ah well, at least I won't have to face that particular difficulty again for a long while (kisses that is, not hands)

re Cthonic Cultist: true, but if you gotta go, might as well go with a bang.

replies:

re Leyote: hi Leyote, howsit? I need to try to catch on on skype next time I see you on, its been too long since we last chatted.

re HellsoulWolf: not sure how much the hug helped in the end, but at least he got one.

re Cthonic Cultist: true, if they were the poisony type they might go in for a less direct methods, but these fellows are all fire-breathers, so they tend more towards straightforward violence.

re Mikato: oh, very much so.

re Kikaru: yup, its hard to be more alone than Drake is right now.

Drake gets a much needed hug.

If your wondering why Brittany is saying sorry, it's because when she goes to her death Drake will be on his own.

replies:

re Lucifiel: I'm headed over to forums now. I'm glad that Drake's comments do come of as natural, it's always a worry when writing them that they'll seem artificial.

re Kikaru: yup, I think that Drake's plans in the main timeline would be much more competent if Brittany was around to help him out.

re khard12: well, the party's been going all day, I think the wasted level has probably plateaued by now.

re Cthonic Cultist: eh, but Dragons would feel poisoney vengeance so much less fulfilling than burning. Lucky for them most of the dragon slayers are pretty wasted right now.
