Tale of the Black Mead Page 3

So I've been told that in order to make a comic popular you should never self deprecate. So I'd like to say I love this page, I mean I could have shown a lot of action, sparks and explosions rocking the enemy vessel, but I kept it simple so you can read it, and the guy on the other side, he's supposed to be on a viewscreen but I decided to avoid the cliche of having a screen bordered by its edge so now it confuses you into thinking maybe the two characters are in the same area.

Of the guy, I purposefully made him look nothing like he did in the first frame when doing the second frame, that's genius, I mean nobody looks consistent in real life, nevermind that I forgot how I had shaded the first frame it's all hidden by its perfection.

It's also the subtle nuances, the fact that the background is dead, there's no extras to distract you from the main action, and the second frame again, the bad guy's mouth is hidden by the protagonists speech bubble, giving an element of mystery as to his true reactions. Speaking of mystery, the fact that you don't see who the main character is talking to, now that's some suspense right there.

Sarcasm aside for a second I struggled really hard with this page and felt I had to get it uploaded now rather than never, props again to Suzy who helped me on the first frame whilst I was busy making a mockery of the second frame, eh, maybe i'll redo this page later.

Destruction! Fire! Exposition! Sort of... Props to my friend Suzy who helped me refine this page beyond what I had done, well looks like I'ma try a page a day update but after that I'd like to keep this at a more reasonable update of Monday-Friday.
