Next Page/Filler

Sorry guys. As it says, yeah, there have been some...circumstances. We've kind of been a wreck around here. Thanks for understanding.

Page should be up by Tuesday. Enjoy complete and total fanservice in the meantime.

P.S.: Faulty parallelism (can you find it in my page notes?) and unfinished thoughts (How I knew I had to wait...to finish the page, that is) are how you know I am totally shot. Haha.

Chapter1 Page9

I may have found a balance now. Go figure that when I cut down Bristol board to the appropriate 8x10 size for a page to avoid that nasty warping issue I had with computer paper, I didn't need to use watercolors.

Good thing about it, though, is that cutting down the bristol sheets leaves scraps the perfect size for bookmarks, so I'll be making one each time I make a new page. Any suggestions for what you'd want to see? Once they're completed, they would be for sale.

So last page uploaded got a whopping 290 hits the day-of. What the heck, guys? That's *amazing*! Thank you so, so much. I guess we'll see if that was a fluke or a trend with this one, huh? Either way, I give a big digital hug to anyone who checks this out.

Also, RealScott has become rather infatuated with the whole Ustreaming thing, so keep your eyes on the channel: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/hamelin-artandentertainment

Chapter1 Page8

A suggestion very unappreciated, Jack.

Hey! I'm not dead! My scanner was, and my laptop was, my markers were, and even photoshop died on me briefly but I AM NOT DEAD AND NEITHER IS THIS COMIC.

I can't explain what a relief, what a happy feeling, it is to finally be able to update this.

I've also begun UStreaming along with Real-Scott (who inspired character Scott on pages 3 and 6), who accompanies my comicking with instrumentation. This last time was clarinet, this next may be sax or violin or who knows! At any rate, the channel is http://www.ustream.tv/channel/hamelin-artandentertainment and keep an eye out, as the casts are quite fun and arts-filled. Soon there may also be recorded videos up, whether those be instrument-related or art-related. What might you all be interested in seeing?

I have also made some wonderful comic-friends, please go check out Goodbye Chains (http://www.goodbyechains.com) with exquisite art that far surpasses this, and Lavender Legend (http://emeraldwinter.net/lavender/?id=1), the characters of which have at one point made me laugh until there were tears in my eyes. The artists of both are really just great, very fun people.

Thank you thank you thank you and I am back.

I should really check the condition of my brother's computer before making update promises. His is the scanner I use, and his computer is apparently not working (though he doesn't care to have it fixed because he now has a laptop...which, now that I think on it, may have been because his computer wasn't working).

"No problem," I figured. "I'll upload it all at work." But I'm at work now and, in the two hours I've been here, the same person has been on the only Adobe-and-scanner-equipped computer in the lab.

So, I refuse to give up. This is a picture of the page taken with my cellphone; sent to a friend's phone because mine doesn't have email capability; sent to my email; and tweaked with photobucket. The quality is lacking, severely, obviously, but I refused to fall back on my promise of SOME sort of update, and luckily, I think this is the most artistic I've gotten with the comic yet. Hopefully that comes through. Through the...blur.

Anyway, I get home in about...three and a half hours or so, and try to find the drivers for the scanner so I can just plug the scanner straight into Jason (my laptop) and give you awesome people a damn page.

...also, don't smoke kids. It's bad for you.

Chapter1 Page6

If I say sorry a dozen times it still won't fix how late this is (but if I could BACKdate it...hmmmm...). Seriously though. I apologize sincerely, all the worst of real life -- illness, death, work, exams -- got in the way all at once.

But now we are back on schedule. In fact, I'm going to be uploading an extra page either during the week, or along with the next one. Because you guys have been so very awesome, and I can't tell you how much I appreciate your readership, comments, etc., and it's the very very least I can do.

I'm also in the midst of doing some standalone Hamelin art, partly to cheer up a friend and partly to flesh out character designs, partly for you guys and partly, um, because it's fun and I like them. And I got my paycheck and spent a tiny tiny bit of it on a set of prismacolor colored pencils, so we'll see what comes of that.

It's almost 1:30 am here right now and I am obviously rambling. So please accept this page as my humble apology, appeasement, and duty, and another during the week or an extra with the next one.
