EXCUSES

So it's been another huge break - but I had reasons, ha!

Yes, I really got Swine Flu. I was the one telling everyone that the chances of getting it were super slim, and that the normal flu kills more people annually than the Swine Flu has claimed in total. So of course I was the one to get it and then get put in government mandated quarantine. The special anti-virals worked wonderfully, but I currently have such moth-eaten lungs that my breathing sucks worse than a fat asthmatic chihuahua.

I was in a kick-arse production of Sweeney Todd, playing the old beggar woman and young Lucy Barker. A clip is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7h4J7p0IMnU

I got diagnosed with 50 bajillion things, so now I'm on medical leave from uni WHICH MEANS comics are coming!

So, um, yaaay!

1.06 Bon Voyage

It's been ages since the last update, my bad. University owned my soul for a while.

We finally see Mother's eyes properly :O. I guess Lily chooses to remember that look very clearly. Red eyes, huh.

Mother is such a sexpot. I based her vibes on Ann Magaret in Tommy, the ultimate MILF. God damn, she was beyond beautiful.

1-05 True Artist

Lily's mum as Cio-Cio San (Butterfly) during Un Bel Di (the big singing bit!) from Puccini's Madame Butterfly (1904).

Un Bel Di is my favourite aria *heart*.

OOo, throwing needles! I've read of assassins using these, and coupled with my needle-phobia, equals good assassination technique? Incidentally, my own mother, being a doctor, has stabbed me plenty of times with needles.

*Cries in the corner*
