After a three month hiatus we are back. The original excitement I had back in Easter eventually fizzled, and I kinda lost track of this comic. But it is always there in the back of my mind. I am happy when I get a page done.

I need to rethink the methodology in which this comic is produced, as you go along is not working for me. I think I will try to write the comic in 10 page chunks as this will not break the decade of the rosary.

The dullness I acheived was due to 3 layera of chicken scratches of yellow, orange and grey at 30% opacity and a 4th layer of brown at 30% opacity. I kinda like the effect. I tried to use a filter, but it made the file sizes like 400Kb... too big for my tastes.

And no mlai... the guys in suits are not super villains, and no, do they have super powers. 9_9;

So I get a visit from these nice gentlemen... and a long story short, I get a comic page from it...

My response was pretty much the same as this guy's response.

I really respect people going around with the intention of saving people as an act of faith, sacrificing their time, safety, and pride in the process. Like what the original Apostles used to do...

I'll probably be dancing around a bit the controversy line with this one, but oh well. :-/

Update: May 11th, 2009: Unfortunately there will be no Shock Absorber installment this week, as I fell behind on the page because of personal reasons. Thanks for understanding! :-)

You ever kinda thought you were going crazy? You ever hear on the news those fanaticals that just go out and kill everyone and their dog just because they heard some voice in their head?

I just wanted to address it here, but it does seems kinda harmless to know who Jesus is better.

I used to hate coloring, but it's kinda cool to see everything come together. I never thought I'd use gradients... but here we go. I haven't figured out how to use the airbrush yet... or maybe its just too dumbed down in my version of photoshop elements... :-/

May 4th, 2009 update: Usually I update on mondays, unfortunately I was not able to make it today. I should get it up by tomorrow, though... I'm about 90% done on the current page.

This page went through a lot of rewrites. I drew a lot inspiration from mass sermons, and just thinking about it for a long time.

It was usually the times I was in church that I felt the most inspired.

Coloring seems to be coming along... I checked a whole bunch of tutorials online... Here are some of the ones I came across:

Chapter 01 - Page 07 - The Annunciation

Happy Easter! Christ is risen! :-)

Phew! I made it... I wasn't sure I would.

After this page I have no more buffer. So I can't predict when the next page will be.

I'm thinking it'll be anywhere from next week to the week after.

Peace!
