In the time between the last update and now I've been busy revamping the Monkeyshine archives with new colours, new dialogue and new pages. I was planning on uploading the improved archives s before continuing with the comic, but it's been almost two months and I'm only halfway through so here's page 17.

This week sees the launch of Monkeyshine Supplemental Which has already dot 15 pages of bonus content (mostly old pictures of Joel so far) to browse. Check back on monday for a sneak peak at a new character.

I'll not bother with replying to commments this time.

This page goes out to anyone who's ever put on a t-shirt with long, wet hair.

Goddamn I need to work on making my text size standard. It's gone giant again. Next time I'll work it out I promise.

This comic was delayed in part due to the Metroid Prime Trilogy.

this is the first Monkeyshine page drawn with an actual brush, no more cheaty bruch-pens for me. I relied far to heavily on my wrist drawing this, I need to practice sweeping elbow movements. Practice is required.

I keep threatening you that heavy exposition is on the way, but I think we're safe for a page or two.

I still owe Harkovast and Repoman some fanart, I haven't forgoten you guys! I've been lucky that the only people who win my competitions happen to have very good comics that I'm already following and also Harkovast won one too. ;p

Suplimential art this week is an early Joel design (quite an important one as it was the first time I gave him crazy hair and puffy trousers). Does anyone actually look at these? Maybe I should start up a seperate Monkeyshine Extras comic, Then again I've got so much of this crap it'd overtake the main comic's page count in no time.

Coments from last month:
Hunchdebunch: Don't look down!
Ryuthehedgewolf: I much prefer using real paper. It's a shame it's about seven times as time consuming.
repoman: Cheers. In no way did I put that joke in to save me from drawing handrails everywhere.
Gillespie: Thanks for the rating! (congrqatulations on posting my 100th comment!)
purplehev4: Maybe looking sideways would have worked best. And this is the adventures of Joel and Fuchsia untill further notice. I will not be swayed.
Redemption: Maybe a certain missing detail on this page will add some fuel to the 'What is Joel?' fire.

And now for something comfortingly familiar.

Edit: ARRRG missed the tail off that fist ballon in the second panel. I'll fix it later.

Another page with digital lineart, my drawing board sure is getting dusty.

So far we've only really scraped the surface of this world, I've still got a lot of stuff to introduce. I'm deathly afraid of overloading everone with information, so I've held off the exposition to an extent. However, in a couple of pages we're going to enjoy a full on explanatory bonanza.

'Grats to repoman for guessing the closest number of panels, no competition this week because I'm backed up with fanart I have promised to draw already.

Comments from last week!

Redemption: Bude is actually the green dude on Belfast's arm, the other Harvester's name shall remain secret for now.
I love that at least one person is thinking hard enough about my comic to make theorys, I'm sorry to say that fuchias backstory won't really be toche on untill the chapter 2, but we'll be learning a lot about Joel in this one!
The DDalerter is about as useful as a dried watermelon, but it's handy sometimes.
And I'm glad I got a brief chance to show off some of my more outlandish character designs.
DefaultNick: Thanks!
repoman: I did consider making this a splash page with the characters from the last page, but decided to move the plot allong instead. Good guessing!
schtolz: Thanks for the fav!
Ryuthehedgewolf: Cheers, big ears.

Hey look it's been a whole page without any new characters being introduced so here's three new ones.

This page done digitally due to being away from my drawing board. The text ended up way bigger than usual. I guess these guys are just loud or whatevs.

Suplimental art this week (ha) is easy, as here's some awesome Monkeyshine fanart from Redemption! Read Timeloss if you don't already.

Congrats to Harkovast for winning the SECOND ANNUAL MONKEYSHINE SWEEPSTAKE with the first and only entry by virture of it being the right answer, your prize is in the works.

That said, here's THE THIRD ANNUAL MONKEYSHINE SWEEPSTAKE:

How many pannels will page 15 have? first closest answer wins fanart or whatever.

Ryuthehedgewolf: Thanks for the comment!
Ryuthehedgewolf: Thanks for the rating!
Doctor Shadow: Cheers!
harkovast: Your robot counting skills are unmatched good sir!
Phillby: Stop commenting on your own comic stupid.
ttyler: Thanks!!
repoman: the pleasure was all mine.
Redemption: The timezone where I update on time is most likely on the moon, You'd have to bend down to let norris reach and Fuchsia hasn't spoken to anyone but Joel (and the rocket man, briefly) but that doesn't mean nobody else can hear her!

Norris is the BIOMECHANIC MAN.
___________________________

Late again. I had this page inked a week ago, yet somehow managed to put off colouring it until today. The more I promise to update on time the less likely it is to happen.

Thirteen pages in and the first (vague) mention of the titular Monkeyshine! First mention of Oskar too!

I was going to draw Joel looking at Norris' leg (you know, to tie in with the dialogue) in the second panel but somehow he ended up staring into the sky and I missed that until now. Damn.

Suplimental art this week: Here's some fanart I did for Redemption's wonderful Timeloss. It's technically the prize for the amazing sucess that was the 'Name the Robot' competition that I ran at the start of this chapter. You know what that means?

TIME FOR THE SECOND ANNUAL MONKEYSHINE SWEEPSTAKE

Okay, a little less self-serving this time, First person to post the correct answer to the following question wins some fanart (if you don't have a drunkduck comic I'll draw Joel dancing or something):

How many comic panels up until this page have featured at least one whole robot?

First correct answer, or the closest answer when I next update wins.

Comments from the last page! (all five of them)

@Nicotine: I hope you find the time.
@seanh: Glad you enjoyed my slapdash use of perspective!
@repoman: Thanks for dropping by. :-p (Yes I did nick this idea from you)
@purplehev4: But my protractor only goes up to 52. :-(
@Redemption: Now I'm going to have to elaborate on the risks of having anything to do with Screamers.
