Bus Stop

There was a man at the bus stop. Probably early to late fourties - the obvious tolls of time were evident on his face. He looked distantly in my direction; but not at me. His face enveloped contempment of dispair, he was a broken man. His face was what I'd calssify as a 'fatherly' face, someone you'd hand your belongings to in an emergency or give a couple of bucks if they say their out of cash - trust worthy.
The polar opposites of his thoughts could be seen when he looked around searching the air for directions; but all that blew was the dusty warm winds. He looked down between his legs to fumble with a plastic band that had an I-pod speaker dock in it, although, he looked apon it with no emotion. A present perhaps for a unappreciative son or daughter?
The back pack still on his back said that he was a man with no confidence, he just sat; slumped waiting for the bus.

Thats when I realised we were more or less the same.
