10/07/08 - Onan The Subway

New DR! This a sequal to Omens. Devil's Rejoinder fun fact: the ink used in the drawings for this strip was mixed in a .40 caliber Smith & Wesson shell. :)

This is actually based on a true story. I didn't have the heart to tell my friend that the guy in the subway was actually Mohag in both cases... ;)

Peace out! --CMS.

PS Check out the Red Elvises!

09/24/08 - Dogmouth Chronicles (1)

Now for your irregularly scheduled WTF... brought to you by The Devil's Rejoinder! This one's a collaboration with AngrymanArts (of the "Corporate Zombie" t-shirt fame).

I tried a variety of new things here: most obviously, these big color pencils that have a bunch of different colors all mixed into one lead. Unfortunately, scanning wouldn't pick up the yellows and oranges, so I photographed the paper for those panels.

This was drawn to the sounds of Vince DiCola's Transformers The Movie score (the 80s cartoon version... not the Michael Bay P.O.S.), and digitally edited together while listening to free streaming electronic music from http://di.fm/ Enjoy!
