Durham Red is probably one of the more famous characters we're using... although before FIGHT, I'd never heard of her.

Those crazy Brits, making cool characters like Strontium Dog and Judge Dredd... Funny how just researching for cool looking characters just opens you up to a brand new world... :-)

Unfortunately This'll be the last FIGHT Cast update for a while until we update with new chapters...

Bhodi was one of those weird looking guys I had doubts about, because his design was really 80s ugly... I was ready to cross him off the FIGHT list until mlai came up with the holographic body idea... cool! :-)

In the original show it was the bad guys who used this method... coming back week after week, because they never really died.

mlai just asked why didn't the good guys ever do that?

why indeed? o_O

Mlai wanted to model this character after the tv show version, which had a full face mask... I kinda like that version as well, but I thought it was just so much weirder to have a huge jaw guard... It was also fun thinking why it was designed that way...

Tank was another one of those characters where the world of FIGHT blurs the line between good and evil. From the show Captain Power, one of my favorite shows, but not one of my favorite characters... I liked that his suit was visually like a robot, but it was bad that the heavy artillery was often underused in the show....

Monev the Gale... I just had to include this character, because his action figure rocked. Like Tex Hex (Hanes), the figure was 50x better than the cartoon rendition. In the cartoon/anime, Monev was just a wrestler-sized man in purple spandex. His chainguns were so pathetic, he had to resort to using a bazooka (he carried his bazooka in a brown bag... it looked like Hamburglar's bag, without the $ sign). His anime characterization and death were equally pathetic. The action figure, however, transformed him into a monster; no matter what I did, I still couldn't do that figure justice (my skillz aren't strong enough). I knew it'd be a bitch to draw, but I had to. Ed agreed.

Monev was originally meant to appear in F1, but his appearance would be so late I just couldn't wait anymore. So, I put him in F2 instead. His fight with Nuada and Chase was very short originally; Chase wasn't even supposed to fight him. But eventually the fight just ballooned into 2 chapters. Now we're both burnt out drawing him... we've found a replacement for him for the role in F1.

The biography uses the past tense for everyone, not just for Tula. She's not dead, so relax.

If I remember correctly, it was kinda hard finding male characters who aren't blonde-haired blue-eyed, and doubly hard finding females who aren't Caucasian with blonde or red hair. Sure there are "minority" characters, but I wasn't going to include them just to make FIGHT an equal-opportunity comic.

Thank god for this show. Hanna Barbara usually sucked, but this show did not. Tula was a developed character, and she was "exotic" to boot. Her simple costume absolutely rocked. None of that overused leotards and spandex.

I actually never watched all the episodes of this show. Y'all must think that I'm this huge aficionado/geek of retro shows, but I'm not LOL. I was just a kid who watched cartoons after primary school; the only shows I really watched are He-Man, She-Ra, G.I. Joe, and Real Ghostbusters. I never watched most of these shows that I took characters from. Thank god for shrines, Wikipedia, and Youtube.
