Yeah right, "sleep." I still had to finish a week's work of Far Out There pages PLUS everything you just finished reading.

Well, that's all the Anime USA material. Hope you liked it. Huh? What's that? You say you don't want to have to wait until Katsucon for me to update again? Well YOU'RE IN LUCK! Since this is the one comic I do that people actually READ, I've decided to try updating Conventional Wisdom on a WEEKLY basis for the next couple of months! HURRAY!

Obviously, I can't afford to go to a con every week, so this will basically be a "filler arc" of more generic, otaku-related comics. What specifically does that mean? Good question. I'm not entirely sure what the next few months are going to look like myself. It's all a grand experiment! So tune in this time next week to see what Conventional Wisdom will look like during the off season!

I don't know who's bright idea it was to bring a marshmallow shooter to Closing Ceremonies (maybe to celebrate the fact that no one could really get thrown out of the con at this point?) but that sucker got used and abused the WHOLE time. I did indeed try to get them to shoot one right into my mouth, and the results were indeed this disappointing.

I can't remember EXACTLY how this conversation went, for obvious reason, but it was every bit as stupid as it looks here. It's a wonder I could still remember how to open doors at that point.

Also, just for the record, that's Garth Cameron Graham, author of Finder's Keepers and Kilika from Blue and Blond contributing to the retardedness.

See what I did there? I just gave you the false impression that I actually hang out with established webcomikers on a regular basis rather than random fluke occasions! And you'll never know the actual truth! It's BRILLIANT!

I just have to state that I'm not a fan of techno in any of it's numerous genres. Sorry guys, but I'll be a rocker 'till the day I die. However, if the interest of proving that I actually CAN make a dancing fool of myself when I WANT to, I just mentally transported myself to an of Montreal show and cut loose at the Saturday dance... and this comic pretty much wrote itself. I will never again wonder why rave kids insist on wearing so little. That was MURDER. Between this, my lack of eating, and the fact that I didn't sleep all WEEK before the con, it's a wonder I haven't killed myself at one of these things.

Also, dehydrated me is one of the creepiest things I've ever drawn. @.@;;;

Don't get me wrong, I think steampunk is cool. The whole reason I bought said goggles in the Dealer's Room was so I could use them in a costume I'm working on. But still, it's kind of silly that i could just throw them onto a FANTASY costume for kicks and giggles and have people treat it like it's suddenly %100 pure steampunk. 'Cos people did, even though The Bard's getup looks NOTHING like your average victorian dandy or what have you. Okay sure, it's all brown and stuff, and that's kind of the default steampunk color, but still, really?

I guess Rainier Wolfcastle was wrong. The goggles, they do EVERYTHING.
