#25 - "Smelly Captain" by Brian McDonald

I have no idea what's going on in this fan art. Does Captain Spectacular stink? Did he just get back from a starring role in an anime? I just don't know.

This comes from Brian McDonald, a MySpace friend of mine who entered the very first SF art contest. Man. Been a while since I've done one of those. Maybe I should do another.

Don't forget that if you'd like to contribute to the fan art you can PQ me with a link or send it to heasley@th3rdworld.com! (Just be sure and PQ me to let me know it's there as I don't really check that email all that often.)

Contributing Drunk Duckers get their piece put at the top of the queue, in the order I receive them!

(Submissions have run dry from Drunk Duckers, so now's a great time to submit. This page averages between 200 and 300 hits on days when there's a new post, so it's a great way to get some attention thrown on your webcomic!)

#24 - "Spy Gal" by Marisa

Back when SF was just starting I ran a contest for fan art with the first prize winner getting a special drawing of them with their favorite SuperFogey. This was such early days that I don't think a single fan of SF was actually a cartoonist, whereas now there are lots of great cartoonists that are big SF fans.

So it was to my delight that I received this pic of Spy Gal from Marisa. I like how unique her line work is and that even though it is very abstract, you can still tell immediately who it is.

Below is the pic I drew of Marisa standing next to Spy Gal. My design for Spy Gal is not quite right, but it does keep with the way she appears in the first chapter, which is about the time this contest was run.

#23 - "TTF Crew Interviews Opus" - by Lucas Turnbloom

This little piece of fan artistry is extremely exciting. I've mentioned before how I'm a part of a new webcomic artists' collective, Tall Tale Features. All the guys on TTF are top notch talents, most with connections to the comic industry that reach a lot further than mine.

Well, the honorary "Fifth Beatle" of TTF, Tom Racine, just so happens to know Berkeley Breathed, Pulitzer Prize-Winning creator of Bloom County, Outland and Opus.

Today on TTF we release an interview we did with Mr. Breathed. Each member of the TTF crew got a chance to ask just one question and it's a great, insightful look into one of the most talented cartoonists on the planet!

AND YOU CAN READ IT ALL HERE!!

Big thanks to Lucas Turnbloom, charter member of TTF, for doing up this great piece featuring one character from each of the TTF comics (and he even got "Broken" in there as well!).
