25 - Madness

MAN THIS TOOK FOREVER!

I'm aware that it doesn't look it, because it's unshaded and not particularly impressive looking in general anyway, but it did take forever. Largely because it was rushed and cobbled together in the few tiny windows of free time I've had recently. Work mainly ate it all up. There were a few other things, but mostly work.

Partially as a result of this, I have an announcement to make. You're not going to like it, but I'm making it anyway.

I'm putting the comic on hiatus for an unspecified amount of time.

Why? I hear you cry. Put simply, I didn't have much enthusiasm for this comic while making it, and I'm finding it hard to sit down and write the scripts for the next lot of comics I have vaguely planned. Naturally, if I don't feel like working on comics, it's very difficult to get them out, and to actually make them good.

Now, this isn't me ending the comic, oh no. Deep down I still have a love for it (hell, even today I had ideas for more characters), it's just feeling too much like work at the moment. However, I feel that if I took a break and looked at it all in a more leisurely way than I currently do, I'll regain my former interest. It will be back, but not for a couple of weeks at least. I do apologise.

I really do hate doing this, especially as I already had a 2 week hiatus not that long ago, but I feel it must be done for my sanity, for the sake of the quality of the comic, and for the fate of the world. Well, OK, not that last one, but you know what I mean.

And just as I was starting to gain some fans as well! Yes, I know there's a small faithful few of you reading this regularly, and I do appreciate it, which is why I do aim to bring it back. And also, because I haven't updated it, I'll start updating the "director's commentary" blog again as of next week, as a way to sort of make up for it. I know it's not the same, but hey, it's something, right?

But yes, because I know there's a small fanbase out there, I want to inform everyone when it comes back. Note, I said WHEN, not IF. But yes, if you'd like to be informed, feel free to email me on sodavilleheights@hotmail.co.uk (you know, that address that's sitting at the bottom of every comic), and I'll add you to the mailing list, and I'll send out emails to each and every one of you when I and the comic make a triumphant return in the future. Also, feel free to email me at that address to moan at me for doing this. :p

So yes, that's the situation. Enjoy this comic, and I hope to see you all again sometime sooner rather than later.

24 - Rubbish

Wouldn't it be ace if someone now developed the fregetable? Hey, we're one step closer to having bionic eyes, it's only a matter of time. And if it is invented, I'm claiming I thought of it first and demand a cut of the profits.

And you're all my witnesses.

Same time next week? Fantastic, I'll see you then.

22 - Spring

Spring is here! About bloody time too! The flowers are all in full bloom! The sun is shining! And yes, of course, the rabbits are in full swing, doing what they love to do best!

...interpretive mime, of course! Why, what were you thinking? ;)

Oh, and for those of you who wanted some drama-filled follow up to last week's comic detailing the aftermath of the "argument" involving Ben and Kuckoo resolving their differences, you're not getting it. I can't be arsed. This is not supposed to be a drama comic, and so I will not do drama unless I can make it vaguely funny. So I've skipped it, and here's some hot window-based action. You know you love it.

Next week, TREES!

21 - Rejection

...and that's the end of the arc. There's a moral in all of this, but I can't remember what. OH WELL. Couldn't have been that important, right?
