Phew, no more dreams (for now at least)just harsh reality.

We tune now to our favorite homicide detectives, Ai Yamamoto and Richard Head. They seem to be on the move to the last scene of book 4 (pages 25 - 28) and Richard seems a little too nosy about Ai's personal life...

I love these characters as well.. writing for them is fun and challenging and I hope I have captured very different voices for them..

Jason really set the mood for this scene. Another standard day, weather wise, for Seattle and the SPD

Phew! What a dream! And back to work for Jin, but there is something odd about the aftermath of that dream...

I loved creating this whole batch of pages. Laying it out on paper and talking about is nothing compared to seeing it worked up. Jason really nailed it all. I really like working with Jin as a character. He is actually a character that Jason created well before he met me; I just sort of adopted him and really enjoy working with him as a character.

After the first scene the book seems fully underway now! Hope you stay tuned in!!

Is this it? Will someone save Jin at the last second? And just what the heck is going on?

I love this opening scene, and no not because I don't have to letter...really I swear!

Really Jason just blows me away with this these pages. I remember the planning stages and me going through my whole thing "there will fog creeping through the door crack and things glowing magically and I'll get a pony for Christmas" and so on. Then Jason takes my ranting into consideration but knows I need room for dialogue and so on. But in these scenes he really could make it all happen and then some! (we'll see about the pony in a couple of months) I am fully blown away by these and I can't stress that enough.

Another thing while there isn't much font on this page (still more than the last page!) I wanted to play around with displaying some different emotion within the font; so take a look and tell me what you think.

Anyways hope you are enjoying book 5 so far and any feedback you have for us is always welcome!

Yeah things aren't looking good for our FBI agent Jin... Has he finally messed with the wrong case? You'll have to read some more to find out!

And with said as the writer this has been the easier page for to date! It just all clicked (lol) But for real, these pages have been fun for me. As the ideal formed in my head long ago how I wanted this comic to start out, and discussed with Jason he climbed in my head took my ideas and made them better. I think this page looks so damn great any attempt to add flavor from it on my part would actually ruin the mood! Personally I look at the panels in cinematic slow motion.

This opening scene is very good and is a real table setter for this comic! Stay tuned!

Now we are rolling again!

We left Jin (who is an FBI Agent for people who are just now tuning in) back at his house as he received a letter from his father who has accounced that he is coming to Seattle from Japan and now it looks like Jin is in for a very difficult night's sleep. Let's see how this unfolds...

This page is really great! I love what Jason has done with it. The art pretty much speaks volumes of how the story will progress from here on out.
