Better Late Than Never...Just Like Menstration

Okay, I'm a bad person. I know that this comic is a blip on the radar, and my views are inflated because I buy ads on big sites.

Whatever, I like doing it. But I don't like doing it as much as I like bashing people in the back of the head with that Spiker joint in Halo 3.

Oh sweet Jesus, do I love Halo 3. If I could shower in the golden goodness of that game, and glean nourishment from it. If I could make sweet, sweet love to it.

Oh yes, I most assuredly would.

Now, try to get that mental image out of your head.

(silence)

I didn't know if, how or when I was going to do this. But as you guys noticed on 9/11, I have a love of the fire service. Some of you may (but most probably don't) know, I'm a volunteer fireman. Last week a fireman from my county passed away due to injuries received while working a structure fire.

The viewing and funeral are this weekend. And I just don't feel funny right now.

I'm not going to say his name, or give any specifics, because I feel that trying to honor him on this simple ass webcomic would cheapen his sacrifice. But I want you all to know a couple things about this young man, and other men and women involved in the fire service.

Know that he died while in the commission of the noblest of duties, preservation of life and property.

Know that his family honored his organ donor card.

Know that this young man was doing the job right. Sometimes when you do everything right, things still go wrong.

Know that the next morning when the pagers chirped and the sirens rang, we went back to work.

And know that every time we go to work we honor his memory and the memory of the thousands of fire fighters who made the ultimate sacrifice as he did.

So instead of poking fun at celebrities in jail, or our comic book heroes, instead take a second to consider what kind of man it takes to risk himself to save life and property.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
- John 15:13

Rest in peace, brother.

[14] Top Bunk!

You know, when you're a celebrity you get some perks in prison that normal schmoes like me don't. Like, if you're a rich guy, you can have rich girls be your cellmates. And if you used to play pro football, you get to play quarterback in the big inmates v. guards game.

Me, I'd just get passed around as a play toy. Because I am...oh...so...pretty.

[13] Great Moments in Music History #1

I can't stand Aerosmith, personally. But I can appreciate a band that can make money through four decades.

The bottom line is this: between Keith Richards, Joe Perry, and Nikki Sixx, there just aren't any good drugs left for rock stars. Maybe that's why my prayers for a My Chemical Romance overdose have gone unanswered for lo these many years.

Vote on BuzzComics, and you'll be introduced to my personal favorite Transformer. Sadly, all his scenes were cut from the movie. here's hoping he makes it to the sequel.

And don't forget to check out yesterday's special update.

This Just In!

Yes, super agent Jack Bauer was indeed arrested for drunk driving. He posted $25,000 bail, which he had in his packet. So when you see Kiefer Sutherland and you ask him, "Is that $25,000 bail in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?", it's really a 50/50 toss-up on what the answer will be.

And for godsake, if you're getting your news from me, please DON'T VOTE! EVER! In fact, just...I don't know, never leave your house.
