Ch. 16: Mother's Den - Page 141

This page written by me, drawn by Bittertea. She'll be drawing this entire chapter. She's editing this chapter's script, also.
Bittertea's own comics on Drunkduck are Scorch and Reign Of Adeodatus.
Stay far away from her if you value your sanity. But read her comics - good stuff.

I haven't updated Fight 2 in quite a while... It's not dead. I just have been out of the country for the past 3 months. Lonely globe-spanning soul-searching journey. Kind of like my comics, I guess.

Page 140

Yay! The end of Chapter 15. Big thanks to JustNoPoint who colored almost the whole chapter. This page was drawn by me, mlai wrote it and even Bittertea had some say in it. What a journey it was full of experimental goodness. Just the way I like it.

I rented Apocalypto a couple of days ago and I thought of the mayan temple I drew here... Wow. If the Hollywood version of the truth is anywhere near accurate then that was brutal what they did back then. Temple of doom stuff, without the monkey heads.

So now we are in the present, and it looks like things are coming together nicely... To me this almost feels like the end of Star Wars Emprie Strikes Back... back when Darth Vader wasn't some cute kid saturated in midichlorians.

The last panel was kinda of a late addition experiment. I'm not sure if it works as well as I would have hoped, but it was a lot of fun to try.

It's supposed to be Tula riding some sort of gurney towards a medical tent. The sparks represent how she is wavering in and out of consciousness. The idea was to create a bridge into the next page and end the flashback that began on page 134. Hope that clears up some stuff up.

Manfred seems really knowledgeable for some reason...

It's weird when I hear the word symbiote I always think of Venom. It's like one of those automatic things. Venom=symbiote. :p

I wish the 3rd Spiderman movie hadn't ruined the Venom concept for me.

JustNoPoint thought to color the sparks green, thus giving Manfred Spawn powers... Pure Genius. I wish I thought of that. :)

Drawn and lettered by me, colored by JustNoPoint, written and edited by mlai, additional edits by Bittertea. I did a minor composite for the tears, but nothing too big.

So the name wasn't revealed this page... surprise! :p

Originally I had a different idea of how the arm for this character should look. I was thinking it should look like she had a bug for a hand. I'm glad mlai had the good sense to draw a more tweaked version of the source, because looking back... a bug for a hand looked kinda silly.
