Issue 5 Page 16

And voilą. Hey, it's still Monday, this totally counts. Heh.

Recap: well, the ugly guy is shooting up the place, and the other two are the good guys. Pretty obvious stuff, right? The caption in panel 3 is an in-joke for people who remember issue 1. In other words, me and... actually probably Lemniskate.

Issue 5 Page 15

Maybe some people in Europe will notice that this is the first time in 3 weeks that I'm uploading ahead of time. Not that I have a buffer now or anything (haha, yeah right), but at least I'm reminded how nice the olden days were when I was months ahead of what went on here. Sigh. Pretty happy with how this page came out, though.

Recap: Shockwire and Whiplash were at the mall when the guy in panel 2 came crashing through the ceiling, fighting Atlas, another superhero. He tossed the good guy across the food court and started shooting innocent bystanders.

Issue 5 Page 14

Well, here it is. Sorry I skipped a week, but frankly, I'm a bit miffed by how rushed page 12 looks, and I wanted this one to be good. Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I know damn well you guys come here for the art more than anything, and much of that is in me taking the time to ink this stuff properly, so... yeah. Quality over quantity and all that.

Recap: Whiplash and Shockwire, seen in the last panel, were at the mall when Atlas and the big fuglo-bot with the gun came crashing through the ceiling.

Issue 5 Page 13

I've been somewhat reluctant to do splash pages like this because I feel like if I only update once a week, there should be some meat on the bone. But in the big picture, I really felt that after the long dialogue scene and given the mayhem that will follow this one, I needed a big beat like this. So here it is. Also, show of hands - who DIDN'T see it coming that Atlas was going to be in this issue? ;-)

Recap: the guy getting his head twisted backwards is Atlas. In a glorious moment of "speak of the devil" the likes of which only superhero comics can deliver, Whiplash and Shockwire were just talking about him at the mall, and here he comes crashing through the ceiling, getting his clock cleaned by what appears to be a big fugly cyborg.

(I love big fugly cyborgs, and it's been too long since the last one.)

Issue 5 Page 12

In case you're getting bored, this concludes the dialogue sequence, and fists will fly on page 13. In other news, I have no idea how I managed to get this page done in time, but... well, here it is!

Recap: Shockwire's somewhat fangirl-ish obsession with the superhero Atlas goes back to an incident in her childhood (see issue 2, pages 4 and 5) where he saved her and everyone else on a train she was on with her father. He was her inspiration to become a superheroine, so naturally she's curious about his rogue status.
