Extra: Lila's Timeline

I thought I'd post this while you guys wait for the next comic (Which, by the way, I've decided from now on, updates will probably happen Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.)

As I wrote in the very beginning when starting this comic, my goal was to improve in drawing and that ELO was an "experimental" comic. Well, that certainly ended up being the case!

The first few comics were drawn within a month of when I got my first tablet. I didn't quite know how to color or how to make smooth lines, as you can see. For a long time, ELO was just about me finding a way to practice doing those things.
September 07 (9-18 above) was when I felt I kind of knew what I was doing, and bam! on 11-9 I got featured. It was pretty unbelievable. It honestly still is, but it really made me happy. :)

While I doubt I've settled down with a style just yet, it's great to see how much I've improved with this comic!

So thanks to everyone for sticking through with me this far, and let's try to keep going. :)

IV.17: So mature

I really like this page :D

Hope you guys feel the same way!!! *lovelove*

---
If you need it, I made a handy seating chart of where the girls are at this point:

Some of them moved a little in the process of sitting down though. Amy, for example, moved from the side of the bed where we saw her in page 14, to sit next to April. Kathy used to sit in front of April (page 7) and now moved over to her left.

You might've also noticed I changed their clothes a bit since their first appearance in page 7. Ignore it >_> lol

IV.16: Denial isn't just a river in Egypt

For Halloween I saw The Vampire's Assistant. I hated it.

Anyway, some new things:

1) SAI speeds up the coloring in this comic by over 50%, which means I get to spend only 2 hours on a page instead of 4 or 6. The downside is that the lineart is really flat for the resolution that I draw at. As you can see in this page, I'm going to start manually adding line value.

It's a bother, but with the time I'm saving coloring, it should even out and result in a much nicer comic. I hope at least.

2) I'm always always always changing the way I draw eyes and face shapes and etc in this comic because I still haven't really found something I can really stick with. It's embarrassing reading through the archives and noticing this myself, so I'm just posting this here so you can please not think too badly of me for it!
