Chapter 1 - Page 5

Okay, I think that...deadlines..."I figure they're more of..guidelines..", to quote that thing about the Pirate's Code. I'm only one day late on this update though!

I'm looking forward to getting to draw more than just two guys talking. It's probably because I had to go on hiatus and thusly had to stare at the same couple of pages in agony, but I'm tired of drawing these two talking, despite how "awesome" they are at arguing. XD

(And, trying my hand on drawing actual backgrounds...hmm...)

On a layout note, I reorganized the pages to make the chapter seem...less disjointed than it already is. So all Filler and other drawings not story related are now at the bottom of the pulldown menu.

Listening to: Dancing on the Berlin Wall - Rational Youth (Canadian New Wave song from the 80's about well, the Berlin Wall and the atmosphere of the Cold War/East Germany...hmm, yes, it fits, ja?)

Chapter 1 - Page 4

So I'm a little late with the update. All I can say in my defense is that I love challenging myself to see if I can make my work look better, and that's what took me a bit longer. This thing is my illustration playground and besides, I can always do that popular thing known as "revamping" and fix any pages I come to really hate in the future.

Man, how easy it was to make this page now gets me pumped to make the next one. So maybe, just maybe the next page will actually be on time. >_>

Chapter 1- Page 3

Next page....mmm....I'm liking the last panel, it reminds me of how much Hellblazer I've been reading lately. Reminds me of Marcelo Frusin kinda, but minus the psycho eyes and grins he likes giving John.

Yeah, this page I did this week, so it's the result of a semester of hauling ass in art classes...in general everything looks better...yay.

Back in Spokane. Going to enjoy the holidays, and I hope you do too. Till next Monday.

Chapter 1- Page 2

Oh, god, it's still Monday, right?? So I was a little late...oops. Finals and all.

Anyways, here's the next page. With its explosion of word bubbles...and whether or not it'll get worse, I dunno. Trying not to, now that I read Scott Mccloud's book on making comics...good stuff, read it if you make comics.

>_> See you next week...I'll be back in Spokane, and all the schoolwork will be done, huzzah!

Chapter 1- Page 1

Oh God, I'm so zonked out from working on English work constantly this past weekend...and it's not going to get any better. Finals are next week...but at least after that I go home for Christmas break. And of course my buffer of pages is going to run out next week. It'll be my first test of how smoothly I can actually do a comic, I suppose....

Anyways...bout this page...well, I remember I had a grand ole time with that first panel, inking it took forever. Granted, this was before I found out bout the secrets of perspective and things like the tricks with windows and stairs in perfect perspective, so hopefully next time I do an establishing shot it won't be as hard. Thank you, Mr. Brown and your wicked drawing class for teaching me so much.

Till next week (pray that finals don't make me forget about next week's update...), I'm Rogue, and this is CNN.

Not.
