Chapter 8: Page 9

And I bet you all thought he'd apologize.

Aha, right. This isn't my favorite update, but it's okay, I suppose. Unfortunately, it still seems a little bit of a disappointing place to stop for as long as I am. Like I mentioned last week, I'm taking this month off from regular updates to work on redrawing, editing, and whatever else for the book. I really, really tried to juggle both that and regular updates, but it's just not working. So I'm sorry I have to do this, but this is more than likely the last new page you'll be seeing until...whatever the first Sunday in December is. I think it's like, the 6th.

So, as much as I hate to say it, I'll see you guys later.

Chapter 8: Page 7

First off, I apologize if it's not totally clear what's happening here. And I also apologize that the dark alley everyone seemed worried about was nothing important XD. See, fire-boy there more than likely came running out of said alley, which our heroes happened to be nearby. And considering that Dae always manages to get the short end of the stick, it's only natural that he should get run into. XD I'm not saying that's exactly what happened, because I never figured it out myself, but it's the most likely story.

Uh, anyway, now that the page is covered, I think this might be a good time to mention that I'm going to be taking November off from regular updates in order to spend some much needed time redrawing and such for the book :P. I was trying not to do this, but as it turns out I can't balance school, life, regular updates AND redrawing. So something's gotta give for a little while. I'll have one more update for you next week, and then I'm done for awhile. So, sorry in advance about that ^^; I tried.

Anyway, I think that's it. I'll see you guys next week then.

Chapter 8: Page 6

This page took forever to clean up after inking :P I'm trying to push myself a little harder as far as backgrounds go this chapter, so naturally I'm just running into all kinds of issues. Oh well. I'll get the hang of it eventually.

Oh yeah. I've actually got a minor character from one of my other stories sort of cameoing in the second panel there. XD Cookie if you can pick him/her out.

Chapter 8: Page 5

I told you guys there would be a regular update this week if it killed me. So here it is.

I'm not sure why I chose to make this page so dark...I guess just because the last one had the light? I dunno. Uh, anyway, I'm not really that proud of this one, if you couldn't tell, but it'll do I suppose.
And I officially hate cities. Again. I haven't done bricks like that since chapter 3, and it's as time consuming as ever. Argh.

Anyway. Um. I actually don't have a lot to say this week. At least nothing I remember. So I guess I'll just stop here and say that I'll see you guys next week.

(By the way, in case you're wondering about the little balls with faces floating around his head, they're fire sprites. In case I forget to have him actually explain that later on.)
