The first page of the New Year :) and the only one you'll be getting until prolly Easter. Or Summer. Depending on how it goes xDD Yes, I had a plan to do about a couple of pages this Christmas Break, but unfortunately I had a family-related issue so if that makes you mad over no pages, then you're really, really....a heel. ;) *wink wink* I alos redesigned the site (ComicDish)!! I love how it looks -- this is how I wanted it to look like, with the exception that the forum banner be on the right side. But that messed up the coding, so under the beginning button it goes :) It's funny -- I was looking at my copyright handle, and it says "2006-2009"....and I've only uploaded/finished 16 pages in 4 goldurned years. I don't know about you, but that's very very [b]pathetic[/b], even for me. And sad. Let's give an applause for lil' ol' me! :D :D xDD *whacks* Votes! [b]TWC:[/b] This page was actually going to be re-done a different way. The original page was the one that's in Buzzcomix. THIS one was the redone page...but there was something about it that didn't flow very well (and some things just plain irked me), so I decided to scrap it and do another new one, which is the one you see above. :) [b]Buzzcomix:[/b] The two original pages that became page 15, page 16 (half bottom of original page 15 and first part of original page 16 ) and... a little bit of what *might* make it in page 17 ;) That's about all I got. Sort of quoting a Hope/Crosby movie: HATE...DESPISE...LOATHE...[i]this page[/i] Sorta. I like the 3rd and 4th panel because of shading. I like the 1st because it's perfect. Speech bubble placement....I don't even [i]know[/i] Hate the rest because of huge errors. 1) 2nd panel. Contributing to the part of the problem of setting the problem in Japan....I don't know exactly how the stairs leading up to the temple would look like, much less with trees. = 2) Last panel. I need a reff shot of a hospital bed, which I don't even know if it's the same as Japanese beds in the nurses' stations at school, or like the American ones....and that made no sense. I'm rambling already. Must be because I've been working on this page for 5 hours and it's 3:30AM. -____________- The buffer plan...didn't work out obviously. Guess that means it's either until Thanksgiving Break or Winter vactaion you'll see me again ;____; Sorry.... I decided to browse some sites and I went to Halfpixel's forum. Oh lookie, it's 12AM Wednesday. And I just finished this page! With no buffer done yet. Phooey. : < Ah, well. At least today I get my eyes fized :D (And by fixed, I mean stop the throbbing headaches brought on by tired eyes who gave me the headaches in the first place in order to tell me that I need new glasses. Lest I want to go blind before I'm 30. [Although the rate I'm going by being on the computer for the amount of time I'm on and will be on during the school year, I'll BE blind before then xD Hopefully not.] Which is the reason why I finished this page today. I haven't been on the computer since last THURSDAY! XDDDDD ) Luckily I'm changing my diet a bit and eating stuff that'll strengthen my eyesight. ANy suggestions if you have? :D Anyway, page ba-page: Finally the main character of the show, Miyara Hoshihana, is here!! :D When I created this story back in 2001, I was your typical anime fan: Thought I knew everything about Japan just by watching a few shows. :P Thankfully, I stopped being 'prissy stuck-up' as I like to dub it, and sat down about a few year ago (after creating about 12 more stories) to re-evaluate the timeline and the environment of this comic. I read that if you're setting a story in a place, at least make sure it has a reason, or else it'll look bad. I agree with this statement, particularly since I already applied it when it comes to learning languages and obscure facts xD So, I had to ask myself: would this story still say what I want to show despite it being in a place I have yet to visit? Well, yes. Provided I have credible resources at my hand (like books and encyclopedias.) That, and I can make some good stories out of this :) As well as good reasons as to why it has to be in Japan. (Hopefully, it'll work.) Point in case: Why is Miyara singing [i]I Saved The World Today[/i] by the Eurythmics? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wa_lkpBVkXU That question will be answered...in a few chapters xDD But I will tell you this song's original meaning applies and doesn't apply at the same time to the story. :) :) :) Vote Incentives! All right, before I forget, there are some things in my agenda that I gotta pass to you guys o3o It's a bit long so bear with me 1) My buffer ended today D: Well actually, it ended last week. I was still working on today's page on Saturday! What I am going to try to to is make another buffer, since...*drumroll* 2) In about 3 weeks I start college as a Junior. And I have Biology. Along with 2 Linguistics, Russian and German and....something else. Wah. D: So I need to concentrate on solely my classes, and that means that this comic (along with my other one) will scarcely update, if at all. :P And 3) [i](DRUNKDUCK.COM Mirror only)[/i] I hope you've noticed, but I've been replying to everyone's comments. I even went back and checked all my pages for comments and replied. :D Thank you!! Anyway, about this page: I just wanted to show the modern world ;P xDDD It's a transition, and the need for one, I will blame on my English teachers for saying that I need transitions in my essays xDDDDDD But no worries! It's only about a couple of pages before the story gets rolling again xP I wish it wasn't filler, but for me, it feels like it. Let's see what you guys think when we cross that bridge. What I am so happy about this page is the fact that I was able to use one of my photos from Russia! :DDDD The second row is the Church of Spilled Blood, where Aleksander I was assasinated by terrorists (the church was constructed on the spot where he was killed).
