This is the last page.

Mean, ain't I?

Eventually, the story will continue in "Terran Sandz: The Good, the Bad, and the Alien", a 6 issue min-series. I have to stress the 'eventually' part, as I won't be starting it for quite a while. How long, you might ask? No idea. Maybe it'll get picked up by a publisher and sell well enough for me to jump into the second mini. Maybe I'll need a break from "Broken". Maybe I'll just do a page every so often. Maybe I'll find an artist that wants to draw it. Heck, I really don't know.

I hope you've all enjoyed the ride.

I can't thank you all enough for your consistent patronage. You are all wonderful.

You'll still find me on "Broken". That'll be my sole focus for a while. I'm looking forward to not splitting what little time I can steal between 2 books.

Thanks, everyone.

Oh, yeah. I won't be able to see any comments until tomorrow. I will have been at the beach again with my family all weekend. I'll try to respond Tuesday night.

This is the second-to-the-last page of the first Terran Sandz mini-series, "One Bad Day". This is also the last page I had to greyscale & letter, having finished page 24 quite a while ago.

I'm finished.

Wow. You all have one more page to see, but I finally finished my first mini-series. I'm done.

It's a weird feeling. While I've been a professional artist for over 20 years now, I've only been creating comics for 5 or 6 of those 20, and very irregularly at that.

What a weird feeling. I feel both elated & sorta sad -- like my kid's movin' out on their own.

I'll be packaging this baby up, shipping it to Ka-Blam for printing (I'll let you know when I've done that incase you'd like to have a copy for your long box), & then sending it to 15 or so publishers. Who knows, maybe you'll see it in Previews eventually.

At any rate, enjoy the page.

Anyone ever heard of Bloom County, one of the premiere daily cartoons of the 80's? It was created by one of the most legendary cartoonists of our time, Berke Breathed. He's pretty reclusive nowadays. Well, Tall Tale Features' very own Tom Racine miraculously became acquainted with the great creator and somehow procured an interview of sorts with him. Mr. Breathed agreed to answer one question from each of the seven TTF members, me included. The interview should go live today over at the Tall Tale Features very own blog.

I'm pretty sure Mr. Breathed laughed at my question. I tried to be clever, but I think I fell short. Please go check out the interview, if only to see what an idiot I can make of myself.

I was in a rush when I wrote last week's entry. My family was rushing around getting ready for a 5 day trip to my favorite beach, Longboat Key.

We had a fabulous vacation. I came face to face with a manatee. We all got up close with dolphin, manta rays, and loggerhead turtles. It was incredible.

At any rate, I was in such a hurry that I really glossed over my new membership to Tall Tale Features. Besides the great creators with which I've joined, we also have a great podcast, called Tall Tales Radio. Be sure and check out the first episode, featuring the creator of DD's own Pinkerton, Mike Witmer. The podcast is hosted by the VERY radio friendly Tom Racine.

There's a great deal more to TTF, but I've already type enough.

Oh, wait, one more thing. I'm writing Wednesday's blog over at TTF. Stop by and check out what an an amazing idiot I can make of myself.
