Thank you for all of your kind and generous responses to my announcement on Friday. I am very thankful for the dedication you all show to my story.

It occurred to me that the upcoming hiatus would be a great time for those of you who have such an inkling to produce fan art. All of which I would be honored to post as updates. If you send it to me, I will publish it (unless I deem it too offensive--which probably isn't very likely). You can include your characters as long as you include one of mine as well.

Well, here is the final page of Chapter 4. Leaves alot of unanswered question, I know. The cover for Chapter 5 will post this coming Friday. I think it'll pose even a few more questions. Hope everyone celebrating it has a great Thanksgiving.

Later,

Chapter 4, Page 21

I've been asked to be part of an anthology that may be available from one of the majors. I wrestled with myself over whether I wanted to join the project because it would mean putting Broken on hiatus. Because of some of the big names involved in the project, I decided to be a part of it.

That's good news for me, but sorta bad news for those few of you loyal readers I have. It really was not an easy decision, but I think it'll benefit Broken in the long run. I've been contemplating taking a break from Dan's depressing life for a little while now, and this just seems like a great opportunity to build some recognition and take a break.

The project is due by March 1st, so Broken should return to normal after that. I wish I could produce more than 1 or 2 pages a week, but I just cannot do so, so something has to give.

The final page of Chapter 4 will post on Monday, and then the cover for Chapter 5 will post the following Friday. I'll post any Broken pages I can squeeze out amidst the anthology work on the Monday after I create them, but I wouldn't expect any updates for a good long while.

I cannot be more emphatic that I am not stopping Broken. I am VERY dedicated to this story. The book will return, no later than the beginning of March.

You all have been great, and I'll see you again (as will Dan, and the rest of the cast) soon.

Later,
