ONE YEAR!

I just wanted to commemorate my one year anniversary for NOT UPDATING with this little pic. Really… one whole year? I went to sleep and a whole year passes me by?! “What’s the point of rezzing the dead” you ask… just to say hi I guess. eliada is not over. This story is not over. It’s barely even begun really.

I made a promise when I first started this thing that I wouldn’t start it over, I’d just keep going (no matter how many mistakes I saw in it, or how poorly the story was told). Well… I didn’t start it over, and I don’t plan too, but that rather led to just starting other comics and projects along the way. Some of them you saw, maybe… a lot of them you have not seen (and may never see, hehe)

What happened exactly? Distractions. Lots of those. At some point I realized I really liked art and writing, and really hated making pizzas… so I decided to put together a portfolio and try to get commissions or whatever it is artists do to stay alive. I also realized how very few pieces of ‘finished’ art I actually have to build a portfolio from… so I focused on that a while. Got discouraged at some point. Did some writing (some directly linked to the eliada story, some a little further off that mark). Played way too many video games… watched way too much tv… failed on a great many fronts. Any rate, I still make pizza’s for a living and am no closer to escaping that fate. So much of success seems to be selling yourself… and so much of selling yourself seems like selling out, or rather lying and taking advantage of others! The desperation for that just hasn’t kicked in yet.

So many grand plans and so little ambition I guess.

This story will continue. I’m not sure when. But it will.

i don't really care for the way the watercolor paper's texture scans. its a little distracting to my eye.

alejkhan - i finally managed to answer your question from page 153 as far as story and continuity bits are concerned. i do rather think this is what nova had in mind though.

yimalla ohm

so... fifth season. as i was working on this series, one of my friends had a look at them (well, the first two, since that was all that was finished at the time) and said "hey, you should do one for the hurricane season"

my initial mental response was "ha ha, funny." but then i figured, why not? even if it didn't get labeled as the "hurricane season" it would still be amusing to have a seasonal series featuring five seasons.

any rate, that is how this one was born. and in the process of doing it, i started to realize this is likely what yimalla ohm (see page 186) would look like in human form. and of course that sort of makes me wonder if the other four weren't also dragons.

we'll see, thanks for visiting.
