| | jazzy | This is me plating some shrimp puttanesca. I made this today on the local news program Better Connecticut. I was there to talk about my comic, the restaurant business, drunkduck. I was nervous as hell, but all and all, I think it went pretty well.
Here's the link to my segment.

Go easy on me. -Posted on Apr 13, 2009 | | User: Blackswan | | 5 | | You did wonderfully! I agree with everyone else here, those two only ruined your great performace. =] -Posted on Apr 18, 2009 | | User: Bookman99 | | 5 | You did well - better'n Bobby Flay's early stuff, easily, and you had to work with a couple of talking heads, to boot.
My only "pro" experience was in a local-type burger joint, where I worked up from dishwasher to grill guy, with a little simple salad building and deep-fry action in-between. Nowhere near the "culture" you & Tony describe, but I brought my own little addition to the place: "Don't you be /standin'/ on my dance floor!", which I picked up in a kitchen, um...elsewhere.
Me, I gotta get prepped tonight - got a slab to smoke tomorrow. Mmmm...BBQ! -Posted on Apr 15, 2009 | | User: harryq | | 5 | | I hate to say it but, you didn't those two boneheads stinking up your segment, you were more than able to fly solo! Great job. -Posted on Apr 15, 2009 | | User: cyberdog | | 5 | | Cool, congrats on the show. -Posted on Apr 14, 2009 | | User: Lupinus | | 5 | you were great, man! calm, witty, working and speaking with good pace. good for starting a portfolio, methinks.
and those ARE bigass shrimps...
btw, the big guy with the chef hat looked a bit like A.K. 0_o -Posted on Apr 14, 2009 | | User: meemjar | | 5 | | Tell you what. You make me some Shrimp Puttansca and I'll make the suger glaze donuts for desert. -Posted on Apr 14, 2009 | | User: Ochitsukanai | | 5 | Ahaha, that title - "Web Comic, Chef Makes Shrimp Puttanesca." You're both a chef AND a webcomic.
I've been reading this for a long while, but in the face of puttanesca I could no longer remain silent! -Posted on Apr 13, 2009 | | User: HiNaTa_fan_13 | | 5 | | just read the wlhole archive in one sitting! I luv this comic! -Posted on Apr 13, 2009 | | User: undefinedlust | | 5 | Food looked great, you had solid screen presence, you made a great choice with the puttanesca (compelling story behind the dish) and the X rated happy meal line was perfect. Only thing that would have made it better would have been if the hosts had given you a bit more space to explain the cooking. They seemed a little too on top of the beat (to put it in musical terms).
All in all damn solid and something to start an audition tape with. I would say you have some potential to do some cooking TV. -Posted on Apr 13, 2009 | | User: kaleygeminni | | 5 | | lol i loved the video! you seem very calm and collected - i'm surprised you didn't drop anything! :D i was - and still am - a victim of stage fright. congrats and that dish really looked good! :3 -Posted on Apr 13, 2009 | | User: Gillespie | | 5 | | Just watched the video.
