| | jazzy | So, I'm guessing that if you're one of the many restaurant "friends" that I've made on here, then you know this scenario all too well.
Those occasions where it looks like we might finish up "on time" are few and far between. And, of course by that I mean as close to closing as possible. Because, let's face it...there is no set finish time in the restaurant business. We're done when we're done.
Anyplace I have ever worked we treat these wonderfully infrequent nights in much the same way a baseball team treats a nohitter. No one speaks of it until it's completed. Speaking of it, would only serve to "jinx" it.

Of course, even when the "nohitter" nights are treated in this fashion, still some asshole comes strolling through the door at five of close.
I guess us chef's can be a superstitious lot.
Anyway, I would like to extend an invitation to anyone that has a funny kitchen, or front of the house story, or just a good idea for a future Obscene Cuisine to share. I would love to do a strip of your concept, or experience.
