| | jazzy | Two strips in one week in the midst of my holiday workfest. I don't know how I did it. But here is a new O.C.
Alot of my new found myspace "friends" are in the restaurant business, and have been requesting/demanding that I attack those who go out to eat with various allergies.
I know, I know, they can't help it.
But, damn it...nothing is more frustrating than cooking for these people. Especially when your knee deep in orders on a busy Saturday night.
I know that this strip is probably one of my crudest to date, but this strip is called OBSCENE cuisine,
and
by golly,
those people really piss this chef off.
If I don't talk to you before next week,
and I probably won't...
Have a good one! -Posted on Dec 19, 2007 | | User: Booken | | 4 | | Well the solution here's pretty simple. Fruit Salad. -Posted on Apr 16, 2009 | | User: Tabitha | | 5 | OMG! I Had that woman at work TODAY (well yesterday since it's 2am) she wound up eating nothing but Ice Tea and 5 bowls of Pickled Beets! D=

Nice! -Posted on Dec 20, 2007 | | User: harryq | | 5 | | Amazing stuff ,Jazzy! -Posted on Dec 19, 2007 | | User: Copy and Paste | | 5 | | I never really thought about how much the chef hates special orders. But I don't have any allergies, so that might be why. -Posted on Dec 19, 2007 | | User: jazzy | | | | Thank You! -Posted on Dec 19, 2007 | | User: bryn | | | | I am deathly allergic to shellfish, if I eat so much as some rice pilaf made with clam stock I will end up in the ER on a benadryl drip. Even so I know better than to go out to a seafood joint and put my health in someone elses hands. Being a cook helps, it lets me know what to look for and avoid it. But really, if you can't eat like a normal person, please stay home, don't come snooping around my kitchen to "make sure there are no nuts in anything" if you have to ask then it is probably not safe to eat here. -Posted on Dec 19, 2007 | | User: jazzy | | | | You would think! But, this was an actual quote. I shit you not. Basically this person suffered from all of these allergies, and apparently, due to her faith, she was particularly neurotic about pork. She stressed the fact that she was, "aware of how some foods may have trace amounts of pork, or may have come in contact with pork". A salad is always a safe bet with "these people", but, since they are dining out, they expect more. All, and all, they are real pains in the ass. -Posted on Dec 19, 2007 | | User: Fenn | | 5 | | I would think being a vegan would pretty much preclude pork anyway, wouldn't it? What the heck could she possibly order, a salad? -Posted on Dec 19, 2007 | | User: PowerMan X | | 5 | | Have a Merry Christmas Jimmy Jazz and thanks for this "present"! -Posted on Dec 19, 2007 | Only registered members may vote.
