I can relate.  I'm at a new post with no overhead shelter and the high winds make my umbrella useless, and it's been raining every night lately...

Or get your trousers tailored, or even made by a bespoke tailor, it's not always that expensive at all and it can be worth it for a good fit!

The men's ready-to-wear industry is geared towards even measurements.  Ever try to find a 35 waist?  In dress pants and certain jean brands you can find odd sizes or at least order them on line.  I'm pretty sure JC Penny has odd sizes especially on-line.  And if so -inclined there's Land's End where the clothing lasts longer than you do.

Then there's dress clothes.  Try fitting a 16 1/2" neck 33" sleeve,  a 39 inch waist with a 32 1/2" inseam,  and a 47 inch chest.  When you go to a good men's store you'll find odd sizes in dress clothes but not sports clothes.  The only thing is that 1/2 inch on the inseam.  So I'm stuck with either 32 inseam (too short) or 34 inseam (too long) or unfinished hems with tailoring costing a lot for the cash strapped.  Except my next door neighbor is a seamstress when I can get her.  She is busy doing alterations for the rest of the world. 

I hear ya on the dress clothes. I've got a 15 1/2" neck and a 51" chest measurement. Try finding a shirt in that. Ain't gonna happen. I had to get custom made shirt for my dress blues. I refuse to wear button-downs as a general policy because of it. Nobody looks good when their chest is bursting out of the shirt or their neck is floating in a sloppy mess of a collar.

We could all dress like Arabs in flowing robes. I think it'd be lovely, quite stylish... I prefer Tuareg costume though. ^_^
 
Speaking of all your weird little measurements- in my quest to collect antique trousers, one thing was pretty universal: though all have MASSIVE arse room!
Either people in the old days had HUGE great flabby bottoms, or flapping loose seats in your trousers was a fashion thing...?

Douches and things might not be "needed", but they sure make intimate interactions a LOT more pleasant! It makes a ****load of difference. That's like saying mouthwash and brushing teeth isn't "needed". Jebus, where do they get these people?

When doing Medieval dress-up I used to wear friar's robes.  Very comfy.  
And yes it was the fashion to have a loose fit in the caboose in the 19th century.  Tight fit was preceived as a sign of being a dandy.  Even 18th century breeches weren't always tight in the bum though the some wore them that way and certain cavalry riding breeches were actually leather.

And douching goes back to at least the Ancient Egyptians.  The first medical literature goes techniques and its necessity.  Chronic vaginal infections?  Hello? Yeast? Hello?  As anyone with a self-cleaning oven will tell you, they don't and you still have to clean it.

I can't believe we're actually talking about literal douching in this forum.  HA!

Had an unexpected trip to the biggest brewery here. Free beer, nuff said. It's amazing that alcohol was banned in 1912, but  in 1930's due to trade negotiations with Spain and other countries spirits (40%+) were allowed. It wasn't untill 1989 the beer ban was abolished, cheers to that....
Well it was an allright evening but I lost my jacket at a bar, luckily I found it today I was affraid that it had been stolen but apparently people don't like used leather jackets stuffed with gloves <_<....

Speaking of sizes, there was this girl who I danced with last night. Now I'm not too tall, just under 6ft (180cm ish) but she was considerably taller than me, probably just under 6'5'' (2 meters). To be honest I it was strange, not scary but I felt it was a bit abnormal.

Had a really cool, healthy, strong-ass person die suddenly this week from undiagnosed acute leukemia. Just kinda takes you back a minute. Life is freaking short, friends.  Damn.
But on the up and up.  My band's releasing a new music video in a few weeks and it rules.  The comic is chugging along.  All in all, on my end, things are grand.  
Ya know, douches make kinda fantastic surprise water guns.  Add that into your list of road/tour/roommate pranks.  Only surpassed by lighting hairspray on fire under your bandmate's door.  God I love pranks.  I need to do more.

Those sound awesome! One thing I've always wanted to try is the powder from capgun caps in an ashtray. The shirt one to stub out their cigs will be in for a little bit of a surprise ^_^

Emotionally down today. Not really far down since I can still smile, but my default setting, my core emotional state, is on a low for some reason. Feel like weight in the chest, a real heaviness on the heart and lungs, tingling in the arms.

I admit it.  But more importantly it's also Preventive Care and Maintenance Services for Dependent Personnel; female; Wife, one each. blonde. 

So someone compared my comic to Robot Chicken yet again and I went to Youtube and watched 60+ Robot Chicken bits. Then one of the residents lent me his new DVD of Abbot & Costello the complete series.  It's so much funnier now than it was when I was a kid and I can't believe how many of the bits in there have become so ingrained in our culture that their origin is long forgotten.

They are magical... At least to me.
Funny thing is that sexually, they're not really all that exciting, and aesthetically I much prefer wide hips, long strong legs, and a nice round bum to whatever a gal's bust looks like,  but sometimes when you lock eyes with a pair and they just mesmerise you...

You are just too smart to get caught up in an obvious plot to involve you in torrid sex scandal.   You know you'd have her in the plam of your hand if you went up and complimented her eye color.

Having been the guy in charge of cleaning said public restroom, you'd be surprised how many coversations start up in a public toilet.  In WWII the plan to invade Sicily was finalized in a public lavatory.  A conversation on the train is a classic!  It's classy, it's like something out of of Hitchcock or Mary McCarthy's tale of seduction Man in the Brooks Brothers Shirt! And hopefully it'll be seduction and not homicide.

But then I nearly picked up a lovely French girl while sitting in the National Gallery in London. But I'm married.  Often distracted, but happily married.

The only people I get into conversations with on the train are the crazies and the drunks...  I don't like the way people avoid their eye and pretend they don't exist. Everyone has a story to tell and if I keep them talking then the people who're avoiding them A: won't have to worry about being talked to, and B: will be extremely irritated by the long, loud, voluble conversation right next to them, so it's a win-win! :D
(plus I'm fricken boring so the crazies and the drunks will likely tire of me before I tire of them)
 
Seriously, A friend I had at art school and all through university was this rough old paranoid schizophrenic who everyone was afraid of and hated to listen to or have around. But I'd chat with him for hours and hours and used to relish their frustration and irritation that would just grow and grow... They would seethe! But would never have the balls to say anything... It was so funny!
Am I a bad person? ^_^
