So there's an idea that me and other webcomic creator Eric_blitz have been talking about just recently and it's this - a community project about a superhero team comprised of young, teen heroes. This is going to be a complete new idea and not a continuation from anything elsewhere on the duck, so this is where this new team will begin as we follow their story.
What we're asking for is anyone who is interested to let us know. It's a community project so any writers who are interested, any artists who feel they would like a try or any creators looking to get involved in the characters can do so. We will accept anyone who wants to get involved as we, together, can build a world and story about these teens.
NOTE - For those who wish to contribute characters - we would like to ask you if we could have original characters who do not star in their own or another webcomic. So basically, if you could create characters solely for this project that'd be great. We only say this because that way, we can build these characters up as a team until later branching out into singles - thus keeping track of the history instead of tripping over what's happened and not. You can also submit villains. So basically, if you want to be a part of this - could you please make a new character entirely which we can then build on (unless this character does not have their own webcomic yet or does not star elsewhere yet)
All story ideas are welcome, as are any small or big contributions. All writers and artists: please feel free to let us know if you're interested.

I am very interested to write for this project. As soon as you have collected characters I would love the opportunity to write up some issues!

I'd be interested.  As a writer or (shudder) artist.  I could also contribute characters--I'd just need to think of good ones.  Granted, I do have ideas, but nothing concrete at the moment (especially since I tend to steer clear of creating teen characters, since there are so many problems with teen superheroes as they have been represented in various media).  I have unused character ideas and concepts I can fish from.

Quick note - this hasn't been forgotten about! I am currrently thinking of ways we can make this different to other community projects. I will update this soon-ish and let you know what I have mind. For those who also PQ'd me, I will also let you know about what I have in mind.

I can help out with the art and the writing. I actually have an idea ready to go. Hopefully you guys are still up for this.

Here's a little update from me in regards this community project. I contacted eric_blitz and unfortunately got nothing back, so unless he comes around and says otherwise I am happy to be head of this community project. I want this, however, to be a well-structured community project in that each issue is written by a different user, but overall everyone knows the story, what has happened before and what is to come. Together we will work on what will happen in the issue, then give it to one person to actually script (this will then go through for edits or maybe straight to the artists)
The characters (heroes/villains) etc. will all be newly created and I'd like to make it so that they don't have another comic outside of this one. If you want to see these characters and this world, read this comic. Following this, I'd like it if there were only 8 characters on this team - anymore and it could result to confusion (unless this is later on in the series and a new introduction seems appropiate)
People have already contacted me and I think I will probably run this by them to see if they are still on board - after this I will begin to ask for artists and writers etc.

I'm a writer, is it too late to get involved with this project?

Hello everyone, I'm Eric. I actually contacted Ironhand about this project a good while ago, asking him if he would be intrested in starting a young hero team book with me, while we look for other writers and artists to collab with. To which, he jumped at the chance! He did an awsome job of being proactive from what I can tell, but sadly, real life got in the way for me; college, family, and my career as a screen writer. All of these are of obviously just excuses, and shouldn't be used to account for me just dropping off the face of the Earth like I did but, that is life. 
Anyway, I just contacted Ironhand to see how the project is moving along, and if he is still intrested in pursuing it. Hopefully he is, and we can tackle this as planned, but if not, I am still very much intrested in working on this to get my feet wet in comics again. 
Aspiring writers and artists, feel free to PQ me for questions about the project of just general intrest in taking part in this, and I will send them over to Ironhand if he decides to pursue this with me.
