Sorry, the candy was a lie. But now I've got you!
Keep reading, as it may interest artists.
Let's start for the beginning, shall we? I have a story to offer, a story I believe is good enough to be published. We all can see where this is going, right? An artist is needed to fill the white pages with the power that words can't describe. Images, art that will live forever, surviving the weak power of the air where words are born, the images of an artist always lived on steady worlds, like rocks, or paper. Even the weak paper seems more important when what fills it is a drawing instead of more and more words, which seem mundane in comparision.
But if you're interested, then you'd like to hear about the story.
METAS, I call it at the moment. It's a provisional title. Yes, it's a superhero story. But nowadays you can't do 'a superhero story' and leave it like that. It's a story about people with great powers. About the people who fear them, and hunt them. It's a story about the people who have to live in the same world as those things do. People who live affraid of a falling boat in the desert, because, damn it, it happened before!! ( a boat flying and then crashing over Las Vegas. Happened in 2007, when a superhero became mad (again))
And a story about decisions, about rebelling, about parenting, about human relationships, and, what I like to remark; a story about super-powered guys fighting to death against super-trained martial artists working for the government.
Nobody wears a costume, and no-one uses a code-name.
One last time: I'm looking for a professional artist to draw for me a story I believe may report financial benefits.
You make take a look at the protagonist in the first pages. If you're interested, or you just want to try, send me the pages drawn, please. That way I'll know if your style is what I'm looking for. :)
Script for the first 4 pages.Characters:
JASON: Federal agent, wears suits, and sunglasses. Brown hair, brown eyes.
NIGUEL:
Ex-Federal agent, has a beard (a nice and big beard), and a hawai
shirt. He's old. Around 50... Maybe more. Short pants, also. That will
relax the scene a bit. Brown hair, Reed Richard's style. And... Green
eyes? Yep. Green.
Location: A lonely parking. Blue sky, a few clouds... a nice day. Grey buildings, of course.
PAGE 1:
Panel 1: Jason's getting his suitcase from a car, while putting his sunglasses on. He may be whistling.
Panel
2: Jason's walking. Whatever's behind him must be hidden, 'cause
there's a big and angry man there, and I want to show him in the next
panel.
Panel 3: Jason is hit in the nape (what a weird word) by a fist. Not a kung-fu hand, a normal fist. Red sky! to give emphasis.
Panel 4: Jason's on the ground. Sunglasses broken.
OFF PANEL: I FOUND YOU!
PAGE 2:
Panel 1: Jason turns to the viewer.
JASON: Niguel.
Panel 2: Niguel's ugly face. Reeeally pissed.
NIGUEL: BASTARD MONSTER!
(He's not a word's man...)
Panel 3: Jason's rising.
Jason: You've escaped from prision just to insult me? What a silly thing to do when you've got a Deleting Team after you.
Panel 4: Jason's looking at Niguel's face. Lots of tension! Poker faces!
NIGUEL: I came here to talk.
JASON: My head disagrees. Strongly.
Panel 5: Jason pulls a gun from his jacket 'cause he's a federal, and Niguel keeps his poker face 'cause he used to be awesome.
NIGUEL: Oh... Now that I think about it. You could have dodged it. The punch.
Panel 6: Jason's loosing his nerves. But they're both trying to look awesome.
NIGUEL: You don't have to do it. Nobody can force you to kill.
JASON: Of course they can! It's my freaking job!
NIGUEL: Killing kids is not a work.
PAGE 3:
Panel 1: Jason extends his arms to talk, and looks up to the sky.
JASON: No, it's not a job! It's a duty! If I don't do it, people die, Niguel!
Panel 2: Jason grabs Niguel's leg, as he was trying to kick him.
NIGUEL: TELL THAT TO ROBERT!
Panel 3: Niguel crashes on a dumpster. (a DUMP! as the sound would be good)
Panel 4:Jason's feet over Niguel's chest.
JASON: Sometimes, people have to die, to save hundreds of lives. And Bob had to die.
Niguel: Oh, really? And what will you do when it's Max who has to die? Or Jake? What will happen then?!
PAGE 4:
Panel 1: Jason's face shows pain and surprise.
Panel 2: Niguel on the ground. Trying to stand up, he's sitting.
NIGUEL:
Oh, I'm sure it crossed your mind. In a few months, they will turn 13.
And then, they will become Metas. If it's not one, the other will be. Or
both. Your own childs will become your prey.
Panel 3: Headshot. Will be more gentle if it happens off-panel.

Words die, my friend. But there's always something that remains. Something which is over simple words, and yet it isn't as high as that. Those are traces of imagination. The rest of what the author put into it, and what you did, when your mind gave life to it again. Let imagination rise, let it expand to it's purest form. Be a child again; but yet, so much more. Be an artist.
(A visual artist, of course. I wouldn't talk like that about me)

By the way, I would be looking for as many artist as needed to get the work finished. And by that I mean coloring, inking, etc. I just want to get the story done as nicely as possible.
So, if you can do any of those things, or a more than one, I don't mind (in fact, I prefer it) expanding the size of the team.
