General Discussion
Anything you want to write about or record about adult webcomics,
have it here to me by Friday night (your time), and it'll go in the QC.
Want to give a shout-out to Adult comics here on DD that you know
and love? Well here's you chance. This is the uncensored, full-frontal,
no-holds bared, rude, lewd, crude, hot, sweaty, double jointed, fully
lubricated, enhanced, exposed and erect, Quackcast.
Bigger, longer, harder, uncut... (Southpark?)
...Seriously though, it won't be very rude at all... Maybe I'll
just fill the whole thing with exciting, suggestive, but ultimately
meaningless promo buzz-words? ^_^
The other comics I'd call remotely "adult" are actually more on the rude side than all-out adult. Like Putrid Meat or Jump. They have some drastic scenes, more or less. It's more of a question of breaking the boundaries of good taste than being all-out "adult", if adult is just a euphemism for porn-y. There are those two fellatio scenes from Jump which are gonna haunt me for the rest of my days. Fellatio and extreme violence are the worst combination ever! And by worst, I mean good. I mean, worst in a good way. And I mean: In fiction. Ahem
Yeah... that's all I have to say about adult stuff in webcomics. I have yet to find a webcomic that is both truly adult (= porn) and great at the same time. One comic that's available on the web, but not a webcomic, which in my opinion qualifies for that is Isutoshi's "Slut Girl". (I know there is Death P*rn, but I have yet to read it.)
Hmmm, Zandars saga, that's adult, well furry porn I suppose. With that if you took out the adult scenes you would still have a decent story. I'm not a big fan of the comic but it doesn't rely on the porn to keep people reading. then again death porn is about a lot more than death and porn but it is so graphic about those two things the title really does tell you what it is largely about. Busty solar is cruse and farcial but again isn't about having something to beat off over. I started work on one but it fell by the way side, that wasn't a porn comic so much as comic about characters making a porno. I really should start that again, it could be excellent. It was Dead sexy if anyone remembers it, I only got a few pages in.

Reading adult comics has made me believe that there are really two main types of adult comics: A. Ones that are all about the sex. I mean almost every bleeping panel is there to show the reader some sort of penetration or sexual content. To this category we would consider most adult comics, most notably the H-manga (hentai). The main plot of these comics is the sex part and how it's drawn, the realism behind it.
Then there is category B. Comics who are drawn and happen to have adult content as a major or a minor theme of them, but the story itself is the main focus on those comics.
The comics Xolta, Busty Solar and Xtin The Dragons Dream World are ones that come to mind when I think about adult comics on DrunkDuck.
Sadly my deffinition tends to blend with each other because of the shear ammout of contnent, so one would have a pretty easy time to find an adult comics of his liking.

And there was another... what was it called... "Totty Comics". I think it used to be on dd, but doesn't seem to be there anymore.
I believe it was shortly changed to "Bramblethorn Acedemy" or something like that...

Another thing I'd say anyone should consider before adding adult material to their comic, is that there will always be people out there who will simply refuse to read it or take it seriously. Whether it's justified or not, adult comics are still by many considered a lower tier of art than more "mainstream" genres.
El Cid wrote:Those would be the classics of erotic comics, along with Adventures of Gwendolyne (the only one ever made into a movie that I know of,) Wicked Wanda, Alan Moore's Lost Girls...
... Also, Serpieri's Druuna books (not a webcomic) were excellent adult comics that blended elements of horror and sci-fi with mesmerizing artwork.
Hard to find good ones though, one of the reason I got started doing my own... The most important thing for a good erotic comic, I think, is to have the right heroine. Balancing innocence, wantonness, smarts and pluck.
Sexy Losers by Clay where sexual taboos are the source of the humor. Incest, adultery, masturbation, necrophilia, heck, the characters are screwed up in more ways than one, but it's usually quite funny (although your mileage may vary).
Ghastly's Ghastly Comic by Ghastly also mined that vein.
Love Magic by Tea Green was also quite funny. Last I heard she's now part of the Filthy Fragments site where she's making money drawing adult comics.

For sheer funny situations and adult humor though, I'd recommend either Bhaddland or Gratuitous.
Anais and Clarisse [..] . The adventures of 2 busty room mates. I'd recomend all of these.

Yes! Bhaddland! That's a really good adult comedy! Gratuitous, umm... well, I love Xolta for its story and all, but I never much cared for the way ArteestX draws women. And since that's pretty much the entire comic, I was never able to get into Gratuitous.
It's true for all comics, but especially with adult comics, good artwork is absolutely essential. That doesn't necessarily mean "anatomical correctness," but visually pleasing at least, unless you're actually aiming to be repulsive. Like, GRIND was very stylized but the art on that comic was just awesome. Not even really in an erotic kinda way, but just visually stimulating. And Zandar's Saga has excellent toony black-and-white art in addition to being well written.

I'm going to put this together now... Just have to write some stuff up. I hate that part :(
Thanks for all the great contributions guys! ^_^
Anyway, Thankyou so much guys! Your contributions were all fantastic and made this quackcast possible! ^_^
I apologise in advance for all the stupid and silly mistakes I made about the comics I described, and whatever else... especially repeatedly mixing up "gender" and "genre" hahaha!
