I've got award season fever. I just gotta dance...or would that be dance fever?
Are they two totally different fevers? Can you have both at the same time?

Thanks for the nominations. That's very cool. I've also seen a few comics nminated here that I'm just not familiar with, so I'll be adding those to my reading list.

Not me either. But it DID take some memory dredging. I learned out that years and years agi from watching David Attenborough's Life and Life on Earth series etc. (think that's what they were called) as well as reading the books he wrote based on those series.
 
I recall that they're fish, a pretty good size, with bony plate on their faces and they live territorially and individually around and under certain rocks that they choose... and something about them only being found by chance because someone recognised a specimen caught by a local villager and Attenborough's team being the first people to film them live... or something like that. It was back in the day when he was on the front lines of adventurer biology and nature shows were still actually really interesting instead of the stage managed narrated ultra=pretty screen-savers they are now.

Wow, I can't believe AGENCY was nominated for something even though I was away due to family issues. It's very flattering. :'D The lineup's pretty awesome! Nice to see some new comics and some familiar comics nominated into new categories. Then there's the things that haven't changed... *shifty eyes at Harkovast* ...but that's all peachy. Well, I hope I win everything, since I'm doing acceptance speeches for at least a big chunk of the categories I got nominated in! Some of them are pretty funny I think, so it'll be a shame if people don't get to see them.

I'm sure there will be somewhere you can post them even if you don't win the awards.

Post them anyway and just change the title to concession page.  I presonally want funny material and really won't care about its relevance to who won or lost.
 
I'm not going to jinx myself by making any acceptance or concession speeches.  I only have my one nomination and I'm going to hug it, and pet it, feed it and name it George.

I was going to put the made but not used acceptance speeches in the back unless otherwise asked not to. I would have a title like: Acceptance Speech for X (Not Used).

Yeah, I think that's what they did last year. It'd be kinda embarrassing though if I did like ten acceptance speeches and then all of them end up at the back. It probably makes more sense for me just to wait and see how the show goes and then send in what acceptance speeches I have time to do afterwards. You can post the ones I already sent in regardless though.

re superfluous acceptances - maybe there could be a separate chapter - comic? - for "Awards in an Alternate Reality"?

Good idea for a chapter/comic for an alternate-reality acceptance speech, Heisenberg!
Personally, I'd love to see entertaining pages by the nominees, regardless of who wins...I mean, it's nice to win, but all the nominees have "won", already. The choice of one winner doesn't invalidate the other nominees at all.
...and I want to see El Cid's pages! Either in the back, or an alternate reality chapter,
...or how about in its own category, you know? Like, right after the sci fi presentation page, any acceptance or concession pages could go there. Isn't that where they'd belong, in the awards timeline?
