Not a glitch. After discounting one that was inelligible (not an active comic), there were several dozen after that with just one vote apiece. Other finalist number discrepancies were due to similar results. (Niccea chose to include six in some categories with particularly high vote numbers and ties for fifth place since, as well. It seems more fair to let such close and worthy competitors to move on to judging.)

I haven't read enough to see any to be honest, it just stood out as a very unlikely candidate.

Haha. Yes, it does seem in odd company, but Niccea and I both went
through comic by comic to check elligibility and applicability
(especially for comics we don't personally follow or know). I'm quite
confident nothing was overlooked. :)

Not gonna say that I'm not a little bit disappointed for not scoring the Best 3D/Poser, but still pretty proud and thankful for the other nominations!

Compettition for best 3D poser is tough. you got plenty other though.
I had one comic make the finalists, well sort of.  Lite bites for best community, can't really call it my comic as it is the work of many people.  Still awesome though.
Of course there are the user awards which are awesome.

I know a lot of the potential judges would be none too happy about having to read my comic as it is, so can I post a porn-free "Judges' Edition" of it, just to make things easier on them? It'll still be the exact same comic, just minus most of the more explicit elements and the animations.
 
And of course they'll still have the option of reading the original version if they want to!

Really, it's not that many pages that I'll be trimming out; just the really blatantly pornographic stuff that doesn't do much to advance the plot. Like that scene with Angie and the midgets... that's totally gotta go!
 
Yunno what, I'm just gonna go ahead and do the Judges' Edition. The judges can use it if they want to or not.

I'm as surprised as anyone to see Persona 4TW in the Best Mystery Comic slot lol. I know it's about a serial killer, but it's a pretty back burner plot... (which really says more about Persona 4 than it does my comic on it...)
What confuses me the most though is how it got nominated for best romance comic lol I'm almost tempted to say I should be disqualified from that category :P
It really is an honor to be nominated again this year, and I wish everyone the best of luck.
Also, I'm not sure if I'm allowed to do this or not, but if possible, I would like to withdraw from Best Character Design (after all, I didn't really design anyone. These are existing characters) and Best Comic Layout. It's four panels neatly organized, nothing fancy.

Strain42, that shows a lot of class.
A lot better than certain comics last year (and I think we all know which ones I am talking about) that had to be removed by judges because they were trying to hang on to outrageously inappropriate nominations.
