Name: Kyle Buck
Age: 23
Alias: Desperado
Goal: To set an untouchable high Showdown Win Record.
Persona: Typically, Desperado meanders about from city to city, bar to bar, gambling and gathering info to find his next potential "showdown" opponent. (note: his definition of "showdown" is dumbed down to a one-on-one fight). Although his primary goal is to go one-on-one, he still plays dirty, using innocent bystanders and/or the general environment to gain his advantage. Of course, if necessary for survival, he'll ditch the idea of one-on-one and call it a deferred duel.
Abilities: Pin-point accurate energy expulsion from his fingertips (all ten are capable, although he prefers to primarily use just his index and middle fingers while his hands mimic the shape of a pistol). He calls an all-finger attack his "shotgun". He has high agility for a human and can out-drink just about anybody.
Weaknesses/Flaws: He'll often forget the big picture if he's found an opportunity for a one-on-one, as part of an unhealthy obsession to obtain the "Win." He can only shoot energy out of his fingers and no other outlet. He's quite attached to his hat.

Ok, ok. I'm working the design, but I still like my teleporting villain so...
Name: Joe Warren
Age: 30
Alias: Crime-Warp (Not intentionally, but branded this by media/superheroes)
Goal: Stealing a lot of stuff and becoming rich.
Persona: Joe is a petty thief in every sense of the word. He's not interested in ruling the world or killing anyone, he just wants to steal valuable merchandise and fence it on the black market for money. He's going to avoid a fight at all cost, placing highest priority on escaping with what he wants and isn't really the cold blooded killer type and is not completely immoral, though he may not feel remorse about letting a situation kill somebody if he can prevent it. He is rather easily bribed, hired and bought with his greed.
Abilities: Joe, when in possession of his mystic artifact, Joe possesses perfect teleportation from his current location to any location he imagines whether or not he has been there. In the case that the location cannot be accessed or is no longer existant, he will be transported to the nearest similar location. He is a capable combatant and rather clever, skilled at breaking and entry even without teleporting and good at basic conning 101 including slight of hand, pickpocketing and distracting authority figures.
Weakness/Flaw: His "perfect" teleporting is dependent on where his mind wants to go. If he's distracted or agrees with the suggestion of someone mid teleport he may go to the wrong place. His artifact is the basis of his power and can be separated from him.
And...
He'll wear suits out of costume, but this is his Supervillain suit.
Name: Rex Octavius
Age: 17 for all time, Actually dates back to the rise of the Roman Empire
Alias: The Ancient
Goal: Perpetuating war and struggle in the world so that he might become revered by ending it and appease his patron Mars.
Persona: Rex maintains a cool and calculated composure in most times. He comes off as slick and smooth in his day to day dealings and is an excellent actor, pulling off sympathetic and kindhearted well. In reality, he's long become disgusted with humanity and sees them as a little more than ants to be toyed with and discarded. Still, he handles most situations with a maturity and levelheadedness betraying his actual age. Unfortunately, when things don't go his way, he tends to become increasingly childish, throwing tantrums and lashing out at people near him, making it seem as if the millenia haven't aged him so much.
Abillites: Rex is the owner of a multi-million dollar corporation based out of Italy with it's fingers in both sides of nearly every arms race in the world. As a result he has a wealth of wealth and access to cutting edge weapons and technology. Having been blessed by Mars with the eternal youth of the Greco-Roman gods, he has had a multitude of years to perfect many skills, most relating to combat and magic. He was even in his day a master tactician and has had centuries to perfect his art. He is practiced in dark magic as well, it being more favored over his company's technology, and can attain various feats through sacrifices and offerings to his gods. Due to his pact with Mars, he cannot be killed in a traditional manner, like old age or a bullet would.
Weaknesses/Flaws: He's a straight up brat. When things don't go as perfectly as he expects, he tends to flake, make rash decisions and let his temper get in the way. He is bad with modern technology as well and usually has to have one of his staff work anything complex than simple machines for him. He still can be theoretically killed, but he's much easier contained/trapped/temporarily stopped. And, even if stuff doesn't kill him, it can still hurt him, but it takes alot.

When I was drawing my own comics for my enjoyment, I was working on villians that had some interaction with others, somewhat like an organization, but were allowed to work independently if need be. Here is what I had started:
It is a sports-themed group of villians. Each villian had their powers derived from experimental forms of steriods. They are known as Strike Zone (baseball). The leader is called the Umpire. He hides his face with a mask and has no active powers (that he knows of), but has limited control of people and outcomes. Next is the powerhouse known as Grand Slam. He is a massive man (over 8 feet tall and weighing 500+ that is all muscle) whose power was produced by an mutated batch of steriods. Next is Fastball. He has the ability to move faster than normal (due to a steriod-mercury derivative), but can also throw balls of energy (mutant effect--did not show until steriods introduced). Last is called Double Play. He has the ability to produce a clone of himself with the added feature of moving his lifeforce to the clone and cause the first to disappear.
They work for a group called the Sindicate (name that I was working with at the time). The Sindicate is a group of medical and military officials working on producing "the perfect human." The Sindicate answers to one man--Mr. A.L. Phalord. He is extremely rich man with a secrative background. In reality, he is known as Lord Alpha, a 4300-year old demi-god who lives his life by creating war and havoc. (As a side note to Lord Alpha, his former love Lady Omega is now a hero living in today's world and married to a normal human but she does not know he has surfaced.)
That is what I had started in what I was drawing. My idea was to create other groups of villians with themes.

Ok, I present to you, Azumorph's arch nemesis:
Name: Julius Osmond Damme
Age: 38
Alias: JOD (sometimes known as Lord JOD)
Goal: Using his private army to steal any highly advanced or alien technology to become more rich and powerful.
Description: A power Armour wearing former mercenary who used his money to build his own private army, the Army of JOD.
Persona: JOD is a very smart man. He tries to avoid the common pitfalls other villains fall into (i.e. he's read the "Evil Overlord List" ). He has one of the lowest foil counts of all villains. He rarely kills, finding that his plots succeed more often if he lets the hero live and run away. He also values the lives of his own men, and will avenge any that are killed. Even though he has a private army, he not above fighting himself. His fights against Azumorph either consist of outsmarting each other or beating the snot out of each other.
Abilties: JOD has no superpowers, but wears a suit of powered armor with flight capabilities, and wields a pairs of guns, the All Purpose Rifle (APR), and All Purpose Pistol (APP), which can shoot a variety of differently ammo. He's also fond of using his "Sticky" Bombs.
His private army is fiercely loyal to him, because he actually treats them well!
Weakness/Flaw: Underneath all the armor, he is still an ordinary human.
Picture (with notes):

Note: Yes, the "JOD" in my username is a reference to this character
Note 2: I'll work on a description for villain for the fanservice next. Here's a brief description:
Alias: Ms. Ari.
Description: A mad fashion designer, who uses genetic engineering and nanotechnology to rebuild people into her vision of beauty.

Here's my villain.
Real name: n/a
Alias: Change
Description: He made a fortune as the head of a private security company. Lots of time, money and an obsession for finding flaws in any seemingly safe & secure system turned him into a terrorist, testing society's weaknesses by violent and often deadly means. He is a master strategist and always has a back-up plan. No superpowers whatsoever though.
I'm planning for him to appear in Bombshell #3. In about... ten years or so.

Here's the description for the villain for the fanservice chapter (no picture yet)
Name: Melyssa Aritza (although some sources say her name is actually Melissa Arrington)
Alias: Ms Ari
Age: Older than she looks
Goal: Use genetic engineering and nanotechnology rebuild people into her vision of beauty.
Backstory: A slightly mad fashion designer who was disgraced after using illegal drugs to make her models skinnier than ever, which ended with the death of a few of them. Since then she has used genetic engineering and nanotechnology, (developed by other people) to help achieve her goal.
Abilities: Ms. Ari has no superpowers, but has a handful of henchpeople (both male and female) who were the succesful results of her experiments. Some of them were the people that developed her techniques, who she "rewarded" by subjecting them to their own techniques.
Weakness/Flaw: Because she is slightly mad, she is prone to occasional psycotic episodes, but she'll snap out of them eventually. She also has a pair of scars on her back that could be seen as a sort "weak point"

And I might as well add two villains I've got lined up for Bombshell #2:
Warhead
A cyborg. Former soldier who was wounded in battle and donated his body to the Krueger company (see Bombshell #1) so they could test their new tech on it - it was the only chance for him to ever get out of his hospital bed again. His tech has been continually upgraded, renewed and replaced - he's a technological mess, basically, held together by a shiny armor, and this is an analogy for his mental state as well: He's a mindless machine of destruction, save for a somewhat vain ego. He's the bot that briefly appears in the "imagined" bottom panel of Bombshell #1 pg. 15 . He'll get his proper entrance in Bombshell #2.
Beachhead
A 21-year-old girl who was also upgraded with weaponized tech gear, which doesn't show on the surface though. Only in battle would she transform her limbs into weapons. She has been raised as a warrior by her father, a South African weapons dealer (who also had a hand in outfitting Bombshell). Her mother is of Scandinavian descent - she has blonde hair and a light complexion. She will make her first appearance in Bombshell #2 as well.
I need to properly introduce these two on Bombshell first, so having them appear on Alliance may take some time.

Fuku: Brilliant! The costume has everything a mad fashionista (and readers) needs; cleavage, thigh-high boots, a little bit of fashionable asymmetrically, one of those sophisticated cigarette holder things. I think all she needs now is a weapon of some sort, like a golden gun or, better yet, a golden Rapier.

Here's two more villains that can be used.
Name: Kray'schom'pekk
Alias: Kraysch
Age: Over 70 Earth years
Backstory: Kraysch is an alien who crash-landed in Europe during World War II. He then realized that the people involved in the war (especially the Nazis) were fueling his new power of absorbing hate and becoming stronger. After the war, he wandered the Earth, doing random evil deeds, before becoming friends with JOD and joining his army as his second in command.
Persona: Although he has a brutish appearance and a rough way of speaking, he is more than just some "dumb muscle", being quite cunning when he wants to be
Abilities: Kraysch is already super strong by human standards, but he can become stronger when absorbs any hate from any source surrounding him. His powers also give him a sort of "hate sense"
Weakness/Flaw: If his source of hate is removed somehow (either becoming unconscious, dead or otherwise moving away), he becomes weaker
Concept picture
Name: Edward (No last name given)
Alias: The Variant
Goal: Prove himself to be more than just an evil copy of Azumorph
Backstory: The Variant is the result of an attempt to create an evil clone of Azumorph. His earliest memories are being inside a large tube, hearing the words "Edward" and "Variant" from the scientists who were in the lab. Once he was strong enough, he busted out of his tube and escaped! His first order of business as a free man, eliminate the man whose DNA he shares!
Abilities: The Variant has the same powers as Azumorph, but uses them in more evil ways
Weakness/Flaw: Due to his body structure, he is prone to being frozen solid at cold enough temperatures. (Note: Azumorph also has this weakness)
Concept picture
(note: there's more to this character than appears, put I won't post it as it would be spoiling the surprise)

Age: 24
Alias: Widow
Goal:To have wealth and power
Persona: Seductive, cold
Abilities: Can summon Spider demons, is good in martial arts, and has a dangerous kiss if she catches hold of her "prey".
Characteristics: She has a birthmark on her wrist that is in the shape of a hourglass
Weakness/flaws: She is incredibly vain and is very suspicious of anyone that orders her around, the only person she trusts is her boss. Her demons can be defeated easily if she is knocked unconscious, but she is also trained in martial arts in case her demons are defeated.

I just submitted a post for HU that has a team of self-pronounced heroes that I see as villains by the way they act. I knew I should have looked here first. Anyways, here they are:
Team: Seraphim
Members: Sea Embers (water and fire manipulation), Phobia (fear manipulation), Zhia (super strong four-armed centaur with warrior training), Bind (creates mystical ropes from the air to bind opponents), Lash (is in possession of a mystical whip that never misses its mark and never leaves her grasp)
Sea Embers is the leader, with Phobia as his second, and Zhia in the third place. The twins Bind and Lash are more of the pawns, and are closer to each other than siblings should be.
The Seraphim are a group of like-minded "heroes" that believe in nothing less than hard Biblical morality. They believe that super-powered beings are appointed their powers by God and fall into two groups: angels, who follow Biblical code to the letter, and demons, who are looser in their interpretation of morality.

Thanks for submitting your characters. I'd be interested in a chapter dealing with a fundamentalist/liberal conflict. It's not much fun in real life, but it could be if we threw some superheroes into the mix.

Exactly! Although I must confess I haven't read too many comics starring both The Question & Green Arrow.
(Plus, I always thought The Question was mostly just paranoid, rather than conservative - not that it's mutually exclusive :P)

A "Mutant Clash Champion"? Man, I think I missed out on something...
Very cool look, in any case (pun semi-intended).

Naturally, if this is going to be set in the same time and space as the HU, then you're more than welcome to use CLAW*, either as a villain unto itself, or as a means to write-in any other villains you might otherwise not know how to work into a story.
*For those of you that don't know CLAW is a criminal syndicate - Conducting Lawless Activities Worldwide.

Retake - What happens when a movie star goes from portraying a hero on the silverscreen to becoming one in real-life? Nothing good...

Iv'e re-done Ararch's look a tad.
ALSO NOTE: He doesn't speak in Issue 1, but if he does in issue 2 keep in mind that he is an Anarchist, so he does simply not respond to anyone if they claim to be a boss or something not-equal to he. So this may cause him to be an interference on any given villain team that has a "leader".

Name: Chloe Howard
Age: 23
Alias: Target
Goal: To get the money she was hired for.
Persona: Chloe is one of those typical villains for hire, doing the job when it wants doing as long as she gets paid at the end of it all. During hand to hand with the enemy, she will stay around for the fight for her own personal enjoyment...though she will know if a better powered hero than her comes along to do te job and get out instead of sticking around for the fight.
Abilities: An excellent hand-to-hand combatant (by that, I mean extremely awesome). Quite a bit of agility but has a perfect trained eye and is great with any sort of gun or weapon. (such as a sniper from one hell of a distance away, she's that good.) Excellent aim...hence the name target. Basically she is a more sane version of Marvel's Bullseye.
Weakness/Flaws: Though she is great and can take on many heroes, the ones with powers (Relik, for instance) has powers more than she can handle and guns won't be enough. Though she is great, the powers department does beat her alot. she will be able to hold her own against the mildy powered such as Comet Kid and Azumorph but may struggle with Relik for instance.
(Don't know why, can just see her and fukujinsuke's Desperado appearing in a single issue together...fighting and caught in the middle is some of the smaller heroes...if I could write that single issue...I would be extremely happy...i can picture alot of things already for it.)

mind_reader: Yeah, why not? That sounds like fun. Just tell us which other character(s) you'd like to include, and we'll see if we can get their creators' approval.

Characters I like and will sort of need.
Desperado (of course)
Target (of course)
Azumorph
Bombshell
Mr Imp
Blue Jay
(also, is this going to be a part of the series or just like a singled out thing? Just wandering and curious....just thinking of a title.)

I'd like to make this an official part of the series. Of course some level of consistency with the other stories will always have to be met - the characters should largely be "in character".
And you've got my approval for Bombshell. Depending on whether or not the other creators will respond to this thread you might want to ask them directly.
