Hello!

Thought I'd host my little webcomic over here on Drunk Duck. Its only just begun, but I'd like to know what you think of it and (hopefully) you'll come back to it every day.

Updates every day. If I miss an update, you'll get two.

Thanks!

Baron Pedro

P.S Since today is my first day on Drunk Duck, there is a double update for you all to enjoy.

You're not allowed to bump at such a short time period. Read the rules.

I don't know about blessing eyes (non-religious guy) but it's quite a delicious comic for the old peepers to have a lookie-coook at.

Alrighty, here we go with my critique.

PRESENTATION: Well, it's a sprite comic so I'm not going to fawn over it's artwork. Overall, the sprites used are fairly good looking and sprites of different bits are rarely mixed. Special effects are pretty well done, and the comic will occasionally tastefully switch to 8-bit scenes or scenes from different Mario games. There are also little tidbits in the author-made backrounds like a framed picture of the characters of the origional 80s Donkey Kong game. Though most of the time the backrounds made by the author are a bit bland, resulting in two color areas like in Bob and George. Fortunately, most backrounds are actual backrounds from the games, so that is rarely a problem. The text bubbles are also a bit lazy, with a small, generic font, and simple square text bubbles with thin outlines. This brings down the aesthetic value of the comic a little bit.

Presenation Score: 7/10

PLOT/HUMOR: This is a bit of a low point, sadly. The comic attempts to be funny, but rarely brought forth even a chuckle. Some of the panels gave decent visual humor, some of which is actually genuinely chuckle-worthy, but the rest seemed plain poorly written. There also seems to be trouble defining whether Wario or Waluigi is the stupid character, and who is competent. Earlier pages led me to believe that Wario was the smarter of the two, while Waluigi was a moron, but halfway through it seems like thier personalities switched.

The situations involved have the potential to be funny (currently in the comic, Wario has been transported into the past where he is an 8-bit Mario recolor) and that makes up slightly for the lack of humor or compelling characters.

Plot/humor Score: 5/10

OVERALL: Wario and Waluigi offers some quirky situations and decent sprite work and special effects, but doesn't have a very good sense of humor.

SCORE: 6/10
