Ok, I managed to scrape together a few more strips since the last round of "criticism" (if that's what you can call it, heh). I changed my art style and got a new writer, and would like some honest to goodness advice and criticism.
Dont let me down!

Hey acadia...I popped over there looks pretty interesting. I'm interested in seeing where you're going with it!
I tried to give you the bb code to link your websites. (I feel like an ass cause I have like three "reviews" up on your last page and only one of them is an actual review). Anywho!
The art has cleaned up quickly...I like it better with the more defined outlines. The story is a bit early in, but it could be intriguing considering all the different types you are throwing together into this melting pot.

So you prefer that I use lines to properly outline my characters? There are a few problems with that. I use exclusively a tablet, which doesn't allow for very accurate or smooth inking. I find myself spending far too much time on line-art rather than character movements and script. Now I've got a different writer, but I've grown quite attached to my style (haha). I may end up switching back to lines, but that wont be until I can get them too look as good as the rest of the strip. I don't want anything holding Applied Living down, you know?
Thanks so much for the critique!

Actually, Acadia, I think your comic looks really nice without lineart, and that not really essential to make one's characters defined. With proper use of shading and tone, you can make a really stellar comic, with using very little black. Especially in this one , I think that looks really professional.
Of course I'm one to talk about lack on line, I think I use some of the thickest lines out there, hahah!

Hmmm maybe I should make myself a bit clearer. I liked the style of the strip in the last few pages. The edges are more clearly defined than the early strips. The blurred edges were effective but I think that it looks cleaner in the latest strip.

Wing: Yeah, that one is my favorite. I did, however, work for-friggin-evar on that strip. Though I guess i could do with a little quality control on the comic. I guess i set the bar pretty high (haha). (The thick lines work for you btw)
Darwin: Ohh. Gotcha. Thanks again for the crit!
