My housemate is currently writing a comic that I will be providing the artwork for, just wondering what people thought of 'the look' so far. I use a combination of pencils, reference photos and photoshop. Criticism welcome. If you like what you see then check back for more concept stuff and eventually the comic itself.

Cheers to everyone who commented. Eyesoftheblackk, is it better now? I squashed it a bit and added some letterbox style bars. Should have something new ready for tomorrow, it's a composite of about six reference photos so it's fiddly, but it's got quite an epic feel so hopefully it'll turn out ok.

i think the look is good ONE Thing tho YOU really need to get consistent on detail of characters and actually show as much as you want to show keep it consistent so that people dont get confused with the comics quality or let down by it.
i think its good but you have Viewpoint errors in the cop shooting the prisoners or what ever.
the perspective is very off.
i dont like the use of lent tiles and what not dont try to cheat me by saying you did this and that i can see your line work wich youve made and it doesnet hint towards the people in the comic.
i might be wrong tho as so many times befor.
just keep white and black consistent use tones to Make things stand out or backgroundify even tho its a demo or what ever.
its a shit demo of a page.
the panels are to damn small you dont understand fully whats happening as there is one focused scene and nothing more.
you undesrstand that the dude is getting pissed on after a while
but thats about it.
but anyho keep going i dunno what more i can give ya.

Cheers for the critique, made for enlightening reading. I understand that there are certainly perspective issues with the 'hostage' shot. Bear in mind that I've only been doing this for 3 and a half weeks and that the picture was cobbled together using some old reference photos I had lying around, so they were never taken specifically with that picture in mind. Same goes for the majority of them, very few use reference photos that where even intended to be reference photos... if that makes any sense.
I'm not sure what a 'lent tile' is to be honest, but if I inadvertently used one then I apologize if you feel in any way cheated. Any line work you may have noticed in backgrounds is at a very rough stage, obviously far more time will be taken on them when I've got the project up and running at full speed. I know you stated something similar in your message but these are just pieces of 'concept art' and shouldn't be looked upon as the final product. Also all of these pictures are 'saved for the web' so they are of a far lower quality than the actual, high res pictures on my hard drive.
