[PLUG] [CRIT] Mystery Sprite Theater

So, for two months I've managed to keep a sprite comic that makes fun of sprite comics going, in the style of the cult TV show Mystery Science Theater. It's going pretty well, and every now and then I flit into the bottom of the top 100 strips, which isn't bad for a 2 month old sprite comic with only 3 updates a week.

The problem is that I don't know what jokes hit the mark, and what bits are unfunny, partially because I'm not my target audience, and partially because my self-confidence is so hilariously low that I'm convinced that anything I touch turns to mud. So, because I can't do it myself, I need you guys to tell me what hit the mark and what fell flat so I can get a better understanding of when I'm actually vaguely amusing, and when people are merely humouring me about my humour.

...Please?

Right, so more humour in harsh (maybe even unfair) criticism, then? As opposed to merely resorting to pop culture references. I'll be keeping that in mind.

Is ranting funny (or entertaining), or do I need to keep it down to short, sweet jokes at the subject matter's expense?
