Goodness... I don't even know where to start on this thing. A small list, perhaps?
~ Our vampires do not sparkle, nor are they undead*
~ Lots of violence and sexiness
~ Serious drama. It's got a bizarre family element.
~ the artist also does Mysteries of the Arcana. He's really cool.
~ In-depth background and Cosmology.
~ Leave your existing notions of vampires and werewolves at the door.
Finally, my brief synopsis!
Meet Rose Lavender: hard working senior detective with a flair for the fabulous. She's a mom just like any other except for one thing... she's also a vampire. All hell breaks loose when her half-vampire daughter finally comes of age and becomes a target of The Society.
So we have all the right stuff here: Vamps, weres, psychics, secret societies, metaphysical mumbo-jumbo, sex, violence, looneys and nutjobs. PERFECT for a crime-noir detective series! What's not to love?!
Updates Tuesday and Friday!

Now the stuff hits the fan!
By the way, although I did not ask for a on this thread, comments ARE welcome. We're just not ready for a full-on critique until we get a bit further underway. this opening plot is part "origin" story of a particular character in the series, so it's a little slow and does not fully utilize the cast.
Thanks for reading!

The Lavenders is temporarily updating in b/w with no shades while I get my act together moving.
In this scene, we learn the aftermath of Rose's indiscretions and how grief was converted to joy. It's a bit sentimental, oh, and before you click that link, it's uh, totally NSFW. ^^;
Folks seem a tad reluctant to comment on the series. I wonder what's up? Oh, well. Hope everyone is enjoying it so far. :)
