What if you could control an element? Fly around the world? Be immortal? Would that be enough? Or would you turn to a dark path? Those are the questions that the inhabitants of Embrace face everyday.

Per Ardua is an action/adventure that tells the story of how the ten most powerful beings in a world filled with demon-blood humans, vampires, and element controlling paladins came about to join forces and be able to pull the strings on a whole continent.

The first chapter is over, but not the action for the invaders are too overwhelming and not even the intervention of the Elementals seems to be enough to hold them back. The cover for Chapter 2 has just been posted. Future plans include a page for bios, and a page for the techniques used by the characters throughout the story.

Intriguing. But frankly i find the storyline confusing. I think i must be missing some references.

If what you are worried is about not knowing who the characters are and where they came from, you're ok. In fact one of the main themes of the story is the development of these characters and why they later became important, so far Chapter 1 has just been pure fun action.

One should be able to enjoy Per Ardua without reading Distant Embrace, but just in case here is an entrance a made in comixpedia, it has a lot of background info:
