Hi,

I wonder what you guys think of my webcomic. (yea sorry, forgot the ;))
It's about Lizzy. At the start of the story she is just another country teenager in a small town in the fictional world of Antigea. Tomorrow a ship will arrive in her hometown sent by the mysterious Cybent Sapiens, the self proclaimed protectors of Antigea and its inhabitants. All children and teenagers who wish to leave and travel to the huge metropolis of New Urbia City are free to do so...

More info in the Antigea Database here:

As for the comic style and format:
The comic is available in both interactive flash as in regular 'dumb' pictures.
It features some adult themes like harsh language, drugs and alcohol, violence and sex, although not pornographic. I find it decent enough... but then again I'm from the Netherlands so I'm probably too depraved to judge ;)
In my style I use pencil drawing, a lot of CG coloring and sometimes 3d elements. I would characterise the drawing style as pretty realistic... but not hyperrealistic.
As for the story, well, I've been working on it since I was about eight years old and its pretty massive, so I figure I'd have to be at it for the next couple of decades. I have decided to split it into two comics, each with its own main character but set in the same place and time. So to know the whole story, one would have to read both. The Lizzy story is now a webcomic, the Finnie story is not and I am trying to get it published in print when I finish the first issue.

And last but not least... here's Liz!

Are we even allowed to critique non-DD comics here?

Well its on DD too ofcourse!
Just search for 'Lizzy'

Its just that I cant put the flash version on here.

Besides that... what do you mean 'allowed'? Sounds like a virtual police state in here if you put it that way. Isn't this site about comics, reading comics, creating comics, enjoying comics, talking about comics etc.? And isn't the webcomic scene supposed to be a free open minded underground-ish mellow environment?

Frankly I find this post to be quite rude. A PQ would have sufficed thank you.

Regards,

ChainiaC

I apologize, I didn't mean to come off as rude. I just wasn't sure of what the rules were.

I planned to do something kinda like this for my comic. But nowhere near this level :P I would just have an occasional animation or sound. And mine wouldn't be flash.

This is wonderful work you have done. It looks like video game cut scenes. The art quality is great. I don't see how you will be able to keep this quality and make a 1 page a week deadline. Not that you have to keep a deadline =P

Nice to know someone else around has a huge epic story they have been working on since elementary school XD

Read "The Devon Legacy".

Oh you do? Wow, then you're probably the first one I've met other then me too! :) Well my girlfriend sort of has her own epic story... but it's not as technically detailed, plus, she doesn't make comics. But hey, it sure means we're never short for story material. ;)

As for the amount of work taken up by the Lizzy comic. Well I am getting faster. It now takes roughly three days to make a page or 18 hours. But I aim for two days/12 hours. And that's steep, but doable. Needless to say I do not currently work a full-time job though ;)
