A tale from ancient history, compiled from the writings of a Greek poet and her friend. But in "The House of the Muses", you'll read it through the modern media we know as the Graphic Novel. And the poet is Sappho, so it's no surprise that passion is as omnipresent as the power politics of slave ownership and family intrigues. House of the Muses: The Latter Days of Sappho of Lesbos introduces us to Mnasidika of Sparta, a girl with a stolen destiny, and how she made her journey to Lesbos. At the end of her adventures, she would write the one poem that the legendary Poetess of Mytilene would safeguard among her treasured works forever.

House of the Muses 3 available September 2008!

The graphic novel miniseries launches its third installment in September '08! House of the Muses has received a number of outstanding reviews and is only getting better.

Here's what some readers have had to say about House of the Muses:

"I am pleasantly surprised to see this kind of subject to be reworked with so much skill and artistry. Great storytelling, terrific drawings.

"Unfortunately, comics drawn with computer graphics tend to look awful - sorry, I had to say it. BUT I must admit, your work is absolutely amazing. I have no idea how you are able to represent human emotions through this mean..."

"The art is absolutely remarkable. I've seen CG rendered 3-dimensional comics before, but they usually end up looking like someone took some screenshots while playing a game of "The Sims". Pam Harrison is skilled in CG, and her characters are all gorgeous (my only criticism is that they are, perhaps, too pretty). The characters are all designed with different features, making it easy to recognize them as individuals.

"For anyone who is a fan of historical drama, lesbian romance, and gorgeously rendered CG art, this story was made for you. This is a book that demands your full attention." --Megan Gedris, creator of "I Was Kidnapped By Lesbian Pirates From Outer Space!"

The House of the Muses series will be undergoing a major price change effective October 1, 2008.
Yeah, I admit it...the original price was a little steep. Chalk it down to inexperience.
The new price on every 52+ page issue is now $6.50. I consulted with Diamond Comics Distributors and Ka-Blam.com Digital printing and they all agreed this was a more reasonable price that would put the series in everybody's reach.

The first venue for the price drive-down will be at indyplanet.com! Check this link for the new price. If it ain't $6.50 then sit tight until the changes are fully underway.

I've had a few delays in getting HOM 3 out on the stands. Over the past several months my partner and I have been taking care of a very dear friend of ours who was in the final stages of cancer. My partner was named his Power of Attorney, which created a lot more responsibility than we had ever bargained for.
On October 17, 2008 Louis Tighe passed away and we were drowned in the details of planning his funeral which took place Oct. 23rd, as well as settling his affairs. We're still a lot numbed by the loss of our friend, and I am feeling extremely burned out, mostly by the months of worrying about Louis and the emotional let-down after he passed away.
So I am feeling quite wrung out and trying to muster the energy to finish HOM 3. A lot of you have been waiting on pins and needles for this issue, and I really hate to let people down, so a million thanks to all of you for your patience during this stressful time.

Well, woo-hoo! House of the Muses #3 is finally done! I'm touching up the last two pages tonight and uploading the whole mess to Ka-Blam Digital Printing, which means #3 will be on sale in the next couple of weeks!

I'm going to have to take a couple week hiatus before I get started on #4 and really get down to the nitty-gritty on plugging my series. I've just signed contracts with Lightning Source, Inc. and Wowio, so they're waiting for my files, too!!!!

I have press releases to write. I have print samples that need to go to a number of major book and comic distributors. Now that #3 is out, that should be enough of a foothold to prove I am not a flash in the pan and they can start carrying my book. It is really tough being both the writer/illustrator AND the press agent for your own series, but if you really want to get anywhere it is an absolute necessity.

Lightning Source is a full service digital printer and distributor selling to booksellers and comic shops. The House of the Muses series will be available through them as a $12.95, 56 page paperback graphic novel format, available in the US, UK and Europe this spring. Wowio will be distributing my series in ebook format worldwide.

If you really gotta have something in your hands to read and you don't want to buy the paperback version, then your best bet is to buy my series at indyplanet.com or Amazon.com in the $6.50 comic format. I cannot keep books in stock at Amazon.com; they sell out almost faster than I can get them there.

I AM NOT LYING!!!!!!! Your best bet is to buy here:

Fortunately, once all my print files are squared away at Lightning Source, THEY will fulfill the Amazon.com orders for books, and my comic artist's dream of not being able to fulfill the demand for my books will be over.

A special heartfelt thanks to all of you who have been following and reading my series (whether you commented or not...I know you were there!). I promise to keep sending you quality stories.
