Cabal resumes his tracking of Renate, the trail of which clearly leads to the town of Targus. The dhampir figures it's going to be easier this time, knowing what to expect from his father.

But his revenge may get thwarted again, when a group of Hunters, vampires specifically hired to kill Rogue vampires, tries to take first dibs.

Things go from bad to worse when Victor Sierra tracks them all down. Cabal may have to make friends of his enemies to fight off a common foe.
