Hello all! I've been really looking forward to some critiques/thoughts on my comic, and am happy to find this little corner of the world. I'm going to let the comic speak for itself for now, and after your comments I'll give my thoughts on your thoughts!

Thanks a lot and enjoy!

Hey, I'm shocked you don't have a lot more comments but I assume it's simply because the DDers haven't picked up on your comics yet. I love this story... the art is great. I really like the perspective changes that you put into your work... some crazy stuff looking down on your characters, etc. that I wouldn't even try :) Also, it's nice to have a "hero" that would just like to get the hell out of there and not be the hero. My fav is the girl that wants to kill everyone... ha (Dasa?)... who doesn't feel that way sometimes.

I would equate this work with something like "Alice in Wonderland" or, in comics, something from Vasquez like Zim or Johnny but nicer :)

Anyhow, I highly recommend this comic and hope that your readership picks up quickly. Great work my friend!

Thanks a lot for your review! I read over your Polarity comic, and I gotta say I'm interested to see more of it.

And yeah, obviously it was influenced by Alice in wonderland. Also Dr.Seuss, the Labyrinth and Wizard of Oz. haha, basically any fantasy adventure story has played some kind of hand. The Zim/Johnny thing I can see, but it's mostly coincidental. I just wanted to give it a more interesting look than regular anime (all the original sketches the characters are regular proportions/anime), so I went with a "How would Dr.Seuss draw anime?" approach and that's what I came up with.

Thanks again for your recommendation/review! And I hope to get more soon!

I love it... it also reminds me of some of Gaiman's stuff for some reason. That is definitely an interesting twist. I'd love to see some of your original character sketches, etc. if you have them on the web somewhere. Also, thanks for checking out Polarity :)

Amazing comic. I like the work with all the surreal perspectives, and even how you warp the text to fit it by hand I'm assuming. The lineart is great, the creatures are bizarre in the context of "I wish I thought of that," and I'm looking forward to what's next in the story.
That's "Dr. BlkKnight" to all of you.

Hey blk! thanks for your review. I started reading Crossing Death, and I gotta say, you've got a fun take on that type of story. Fun sense of humor, a good read.

Aghammer, I actually uploaded two pieces of art I had colored, when I was first getting prepared for the website. Obviously there's a few month gap between these drawings and when I started on the comic itself. Eventually I plan on writing a full like, artistic walk-through of the process I went through when coming up with the story/style of VdV, so I'm just gonna show these two off for now. There are a whole lot of completely unconnected drawings that lead to the style changing, but yeah. Second blog post

One thing I noticed there is that Kale has green eyes....and I changed them to blue in the actual comic. I kinda regret that, green is pretty rockin'. I'll just give another character green eyes haha
